The Tuner: Walking Between Light and Darkness

The movie just started with a black screen narration. What is life? It depends on the liver. What is life? It depends on the liver.

the beginning of the video

I believe that most viewers think this is a warm film similar to "I'm not the God of Medicine" when they see this, but it is not. This sentence is not only a clue to the whole film, but also a hint of the ending.

At the beginning of the film, a hunter beats a blind rabbit in a vegetable field. There was a loud gunshot, followed by a violent crash, an unexpected braking sound, and a woman's scream, and the scene suddenly came to an abrupt end. Unlimited imagination.

Then, the story officially began.

Akash, a pianist who pretends to be a blind person to train his hearing, lives in an ultra-low-cost housing for the blind. Once again, they met the girl Sophie in a small accident, and the relationship between the two quickly warmed up. In the process, Akash has always been blind.

(The first 30 minutes are in the style of "light comedy", which makes people think that this is an inspirational romance film for the blind. Personally, I think the first part is a little long, and one or two should be deleted)

(Thirty minutes later, it will officially enter the suspense topic)

Star Plummer invited Akash to his home to play the piano for his wife Simi to surprise her.

Akash knocked on the door, and Simi hesitated to let him in. Just as Akash was playing the piano, he suddenly caught a glimpse of a corpse in the corner.

Unfortunately, he was "blind", so Akash could only pretend he didn't see anything and continued playing. Then he used the toilet to confirm that the deceased was Plummer himself. The adulterer was found holding a gun in the bathroom, and Akash continued to pretend that nothing had happened to escape.

Accompanied by the beautiful piano sound, Akash witnessed the whole process of Simi and his lover cleaning the scene, stuffing the body into a suitcase and transporting it out of the room.

After Akash came out, he went to the police station to report the case, and found that the sheriff was actually Simi's adulterer, one of the murderers. Akash ultimately chose to remain silent.

Simi is like Lady Macbeth in Shakespeare's Macbeth, in order to cover up the truth and become a "serial killer".

Murder to mad Simi

Simi then pushed downstairs Mrs. Disa, a neighbor who witnessed the adulterer's entrance. Cha Cha is once again encountered by the "blind" Akash who came to teach Simi's daughter Dani to play the piano.

Akash's reticence has also given us a deeper understanding of this character. In order to protect himself, he always chooses to avoid the truth.

Since then, Akash has been drawn into nightmares.

The temptation that fell from the sky again and again made Akash almost collapse.

The film processing in these places is also very interesting, and every major reversal makes people amazed at the darkness and complexity of human nature. While screaming, it caused the audience to think infinitely.

Finally, Akash was seen by Simi and drugged to cause a coma. When he wakes up, he finds that he was actually blinded by sago poisoning. Sophie also left him because of a misunderstanding.

Akash was rescued by an aunt who bought a lottery ticket and her husband during a chase. I thought that Akash finally found a good person to help him and could get his revenge. Unexpectedly, what Akash fell into was a trade organ organization. They wanted to sell both Akash's kidneys to the chief's daughter who went on to have a kidney transplant.

Sure enough, there is no "help", all "goodness" will turn against each other in the face of interests. Akash understands that if he wants to save himself, he can only seize the human weakness of "interest" as a bargaining chip.

The Shiva tattoo on the lottery aunt's arm not only saved Akash's life, but also hinted at the ending of the whole film. Lord Shiva symbolizes destruction and revenge, which also proves the ending of the film, "good and evil will be rewarded in the end."

Sure enough, Simi fell into the group, and the sheriff got his retribution.

But in fact, the most exciting is the last fifteen minutes of the ending.

A car was driving on the highway. The doctor was driving, and next to him sat the blind Akash. In the trunk lay Simi, who was about to have his kidney cut and donated to the chief's daughter, who had his cornea transplanted to Akash. The car goes far away...

The camera flashes to Europe two years later, and Akash has become a little-known blind musician in London. Here he met Sophie again. He told Sophie the bizarre story that happened later: The doctor stopped halfway to give Simi an anesthesia shot in the trunk, but was killed by Simi with scissors. Akash's remarks moved Simi, but after Simi asked him to get out of the car, he suddenly turned the car and tried to kill Akash. At the beginning of the film, the blind rabbit who was frightened by the sound of gunfire suddenly smashed the windshield, causing the car to roll over several times and then spontaneously ignited.

spontaneous combustion car

After listening to Sophie, she asked Akash why Simi had killed so many people, why didn't he transplant her cornea to himself? Akash smiled, took the rabbit-headed blind stick handed to him by the waiter, and left.

I thought this was the happy ending of the story. Just when everyone was moved by Akash's kindness, the last second of the film brought another ultimate reversal! Akash waved his blind stick at the can in front of him! Beat the jar to the side.

"Duang" made a crisp sound, and the lights in the cinema slowly turned on. Ah? ! ! I was amazed by the suddenness of the ending. Slowly I felt a chill down my spine. A really good movie doesn't tell you the ending directly.

Akash is not blind? ! So he lied to Sophie? In other words, the following paragraph is completely false!

After I got home and combined with the movie reviews of many great gods on the Internet, I could basically conclude that it was really just a story made up by Akash.

1. In the main story, the vehicle drove past a large tree that looked like a liver, and in Akash's flashback, the vehicle stopped in front of this tree. Explain that this is fabricated.

Flashbacks to Akash

2. The blind rabbit in the movie didn't die after being hit by a speeding car? Still running away? This is not normal.

Rabbit running away after being hit

3. Akash was really blind at the time, how did he know it was a rabbit who saved him? In the panic, you still know so clearly?

4. The rabbit was originally blind, and its eyes were white, but a close-up shot was given after the impact, and the rabbit's eyes were normal. This also implies that the male protagonist's cornea has returned to normal after transplanting Simi.

5. Akash's Rabbit-Headed Cane is not to thank the rabbit, but the material comes from the side.

So, the fact is: Simi's organs were sold (this also proves the phrase "what life is, life depends on the liver." Simi's organs gave two people a new life), and Akash and the doctor split equally With the money, Akash also transplanted Simi's cornea to restore his vision.

And Akash chose to remain silent again in order to hide the truth. Made up a high-sounding story to deceive yourself and others. Akash isn't blackened, he's always been that kind of person (who says he's pretending to be blind to train his hearing, maybe he's just enjoying relief and spying on other people's lives by the way).

After watching it, I don't think there is a good person in the whole movie.

The film is full of darkness and distortions of human nature. Akash's hypocrisy, Simi's viciousness, the sheriff's lust, the cunning of the lead child, the greed of the lottery aunt, the stupidity of Sophie... These are also the epitome of our real society.

The background music of the movie is also worth mentioning. The sweet piano music is more bizarre when it collides with those ghostly scenes, and it is more terrifying than the horror music.

The first movie worth blowing up in 2019! The logic is meticulous, intricate, ups and downs, and thought-provoking. Strong push!

  • Akash: It's a long story.

    Akash: [after a pause] Coffee?

  • Inspector Manohar Jawanda: You blinded him? What do you mean? How?

Simi: On the internet you can find a hundred ways to do that. Good. Now he's really blind.

Inspector Manohar Jawanda: But the blind can talk. He can talk to the press. If there's an inquiry, I'll get the boot. We'll get caught. You should've killed him.

Simi: I'm not a serial killer to kill them off, one by one. Keep playing the perfect husband. Hide behind your wife. Why didn't you take my call?

Inspector Manohar Jawanda: My wife's aunt was in the ICU. You know how it is. You were married too.

Simi: I was. And with a far better man than you. Why did you bring your gun that day? If you hadn't, none of this would've happened. He might have forgiven me. You think you're Dirty Harry, while I do the dirty work!
