Life depends on the living person

“What is life? It depends on liver”

This is the opening sentence of the film, and it is also the core point that the director wants to express most in this film. In order to find musical inspiration, pianist Akash appeared in the public eye as a blind man. Later, after witnessing a murder and triggering a series of accidents, he became truly blind. In a series of accidents, people show the ugliness of human nature for money, and finally all the perpetrators have their own retribution, Akash finally lived in London and regained his sight.

The biggest tragedy is that the male protagonist still does what he loves after going through all this. After morality is raped, he is no longer his original self, and his life will never go back to the past. What is life? The director does not seem to give a positive answer, but through such vivid characters in the film, he shows the audience what real life really looks like.

Back to the English sentence at the beginning: It depends on the liver. There are thousands of people and thousands of faces, and life depends on the survivors themselves. When Liver changes, even if they still live in the same physical world, life is different.

The reason I always think this is a tragedy is that the director uses many characters to represent the different dark sides of human nature in the real world. Is Sophie's appearance simply adding a love label? No, she is the kind of person who can only see problems on the surface; Missy is a rich lady in the upper class typical of most societies. She has strong self-esteem and will only make up for the original mistakes with bigger mistakes after making mistakes. In the end, the boat capsized; the sheriff who cheated with Missy is a symbol of corruption and power, especially in developing countries, not to mention India; children are a symbol of greed, indifference, and power, which is what today The media, when the child knows that the male protagonist is not blind, the first reaction is to find evidence to sell for money.

In addition, the portrayed biological images, plot design, picture presentation, and musical tone all render a pessimistic atmosphere. Although it is a pessimistic atmosphere, I have to say that this is the truth of human nature. The truth of the story is far less terrifying than the social truth. Through movies, we must learn to face the truth. We often sigh about the complexity of human nature, but think about whether it is because we thought of human nature too unilaterally and too one-sidedly from the very beginning. We always think that human nature should be kind, and once there is "maliciousness", we think that human nature is complicated and incomprehensible. For a long time, in our discussion of human nature, there are both "human nature is inherently good" and "human nature is inherently evil". But in the final analysis, "good and evil" are two sides of the same human nature. After the language and words, people used the label of "good and evil" to separate it. With more and more sticky notes, human nature is also divided more and more It's getting more and more complicated and more and more incomprehensible. And human nature is still that human nature, in order to survive, in order to desire will continue to fight with the world.

But we don't have to be too pessimistic. Pessimism often allows us to see the truth in the world, which is necessary, but only optimism can make people do things well. Where there is light, there are bound to be shadows, and we need to move in the direction of the light so that we can thrive and grow stronger.

As a fictional work of art, the film's discussion of human nature is more like an experiment. It allows us to see the multiple aspects of human nature in a complex environment. I still have a feeling of being unfinished, but I still learn from the hero, have a cup of Caffee and taste it slowly~

Andhadhun quotes

  • Akash: It's a long story.

    Akash: [after a pause] Coffee?

  • Inspector Manohar Jawanda: You blinded him? What do you mean? How?

Simi: On the internet you can find a hundred ways to do that. Good. Now he's really blind.

Inspector Manohar Jawanda: But the blind can talk. He can talk to the press. If there's an inquiry, I'll get the boot. We'll get caught. You should've killed him.

Simi: I'm not a serial killer to kill them off, one by one. Keep playing the perfect husband. Hide behind your wife. Why didn't you take my call?

Inspector Manohar Jawanda: My wife's aunt was in the ICU. You know how it is. You were married too.

Simi: I was. And with a far better man than you. Why did you bring your gun that day? If you hadn't, none of this would've happened. He might have forgiven me. You think you're Dirty Harry, while I do the dirty work!
