It can only be said that it is a film that does not respect other countries

Saw it at a friend's house in Costa Rica. After dinner, everyone lay on the sofa and watched a movie together, using Netflix, similar to the Xiaomi Mi Box. Although there are many in the movie, called No Escape, it tells the story of the protagonist and his family who traveled to Cambodia, encountered riots, and finally escaped to Vietnam.

The most important thing, there are too many absurd places. The film does not directly say which country it is, but seeing the Khmer language all over the street and a five-star hotel, it should be able to say that it is the capital of Cambodia. However, the sudden appearance of Thai in a certain shot can be said to be a small mistake. But, funny thing, Cambodians speak in Thai. The Cambodian capital has become a border city, just across the river from Vietnam. It is estimated that the film that offends the most is Cambodia. The film portrays a group of Cambodian bloodthirsty thugs who slash and kill indiscriminately. Isn't this stigmatizing the country? If Miguel hadn't told me it was fictional, I would have thought it was an event in Cambodian history.

Later, Miguel again cited another famous movie Jurassic Park, in which a fictional island, said to be the island of Nublar in the southwest of Costa Rica, did not exist at all. What's even more ridiculous is to describe the capital of Costa Rica, San Jose, as a small beach town with grass and no modern atmosphere. In fact, San Jose is not a coastal city at all, and is also one of the most modern large cities in Central America. For this film, Costa Ricans are very angry. At the same time, the entire island was bombed by the Costa Rican army, which, in fact, was the first country in the world without a permanent army. Think about it, if a certain film takes American contemporary New York into a countryside full of cattle and sheep, Americans don't know what it's like. In fact, American Hollywood films have never taken other countries seriously. Is such disrespect a kind of arrogance, or the inevitable result of business thinking with only money in their eyes?

However, Being able to watch a movie with my Costa Rican friends and family reminds me of how I watch movies with my family at home. This scene is really sweet.
