Details that can't be justified, Reivew on Hide and Seek

In fact, I always feel that this movie is not very complete, because the director did not fully express it and wants us to understand it for ourselves? Or newbies can't present a complete story.
Like why did Emily cut out Amy's doll? Who cut out the photo in the photo frame, if his father was playing hide and seek with her? How to explain the scene where Amy runs into the dungeon with the lights off and on again? . . .
Can't remember for a while. There are still a lot of details I don't know how to round it back.
If anyone has penetrated, please explain.
