This is a movie I watched three times, yes, the first two times were two years ago, and I didn't have the patience to finish it. After having a certain number of views, I finally reluctantly finished reading this work now, but I still feel that it is not very good. It is entirely because of the good composition of photography.
This work is really futile. If this work is a pure artistic performance without a theme, what is the difference between it and the female artist who is satirized by the protagonist in the work. To say that what this work wants to express is just the last nun's sentence "because the root is the most important", it is too ordinary. I can think that even the most basic story is not well told, let alone some of the director wants to express something else. If this movie was made by a Chinese and played by a Chinese actor, it showed a bunch of unexplained depressing life in the upper class, and finally forced it to sublimate it, it would definitely not get 5 points.
The upper class is so boring and so vain, to help those who need help. There are still many people in Italy's slums struggling to survive. A person who has entered the upper class by writing, after gaining social wealth, he is living a life of intoxication every day, having sex with people, pretending to quarrel with people, throwing parties every day, and then saying that I am nothing, and the upper class let me So tired, it just makes people feel very disgusted. Why not help others with something meaningful, and instead keep indulging in a high-society gesture. I doubt the empathic ability of such a writer to write a masterpiece of Italian literature.
It is not ruled out that some people like this style of movies, but for me, you can only talk about the warmth and touching between people after you tell the story well, so. Therefore, I will give high marks to films such as "Love Letter", "Kiujiro's Summer" and "The Undertaker", and I will also give high marks to "The Pianist at Sea", which is also a literary film. But for this film, I can only give 6 points, and most of it is because the cinematography is really good.
