La vie en rose

When I was a freshman in high school, because I watched Red Show and saw the editor-in-chief's recommendation, I went to watch it.

In fact, I didn't quite understand it when I watched it, and I didn't really like such a depressing and dark atmosphere. The whole process of watching it was very uncomfortable. What impressed me was the high-pitched voice of the heroine of the French opera in the film. I don't really like this movie because I don't understand it. I thought my mother shouldn't watch this kind of movie very much, but my mother actually did. If you have time, go to learn more about the background of this story, and then look back and maybe have a different harvest.

She died at 47, but she is 87 in the film. Liver cancer, long-term poor detoxification, traces of morphine alcohol through her body. In the world of the Great Depression and the war-torn period, the surging energy of the market will eventually surpass the purity of the academic school. The brilliant interlude narrative has become a Maria Cotillard fan, and the acting is so good!

La Vie En Rose quotes

  • [after hearing "Je ne regrette rien" for the first time]

Edith Piaf: You're marvelous! This is exactly what I've been waiting for! It's incredible! It's me! That's my life, it's me.

  • Marcel Cerdan: [to Edith] Don't be satisfied with half measures.
