just think about it

Throughout the history of film, biographical films are mostly difficult to make. It is indeed not easy to condense a person's decades of life into a few hours (yes, I'm talking about the j.edgar I just watched), Comparatively speaking, half a year, or even a short week, is much easier to control, and there is no need to jump back and forth in memory flashbacks. So this film is a clear context in terms of narrative.
Marilyn Monroe. The name rolling on the tip of the tongue is a dream now. There is no need to sigh anymore, it is futile. Just say michelle williams, really amazing.
In terms of looks, Michelle is a far cry from Monroe—that's a no-brainer. However, her words, deeds, gestures and actions are clearly the stunner on the screen in our memory - the way she laughs, her gait, her mixture of innocence and charm, and even the way she speaks and the soft voice is exactly the same. At that moment, the skin was broken free and time was reversed. Marilyn Monroe reappears in the world, like a morning mist that disappears as soon as the sun appears.
It's all because of michelle's almost impeccable performance that monroe is back in front of us. Her performance in this film is enough to go down in history.
Of course there are nitpicks. It is said that Michelle's Monroe is too pure and slender, like a dove that should only be held in the palm of the hand, just what the audience thinks. In my opinion, this is a big deal. Michelle is a woman who has experienced a lot, and the texture of life is as solid as the earth. But she was as light on the screen as an erratic dream, and no one dared to stretch out his hand, for fear that when he touched his hand, it would be smoke and dew. She captured the fragrant soul on the yellow film, like extracting a dream - what more can you ask for?
No elegance can be completely replicated. The people are gone, we see monroe again through michelle's figure, that's enough. In fact, anyone who knows a little knows that the emotional history of these two is a bumpy one. Not to mention the heath thing. Monroe has come and gone many times in his life, and finally he couldn't sleep in his bed due to overdose, and there was no one around. The hero of this film is just another passerby.
To be honest, I don't like Colin at all. In today's words, he is like a diaosi who was fascinated by the beauty of the goddess. That might be mean, but I almost yelled when I saw him go back to the costume assistant. Luckily, the character Emma played at the end - by the way, there's not much room for it but it's not bad - didn't accept him, or I'd be really pissed off.
Although this movie is based on Colin's memoir, it can be said that without him, this movie would not exist, but I still can't help but slander. How much does colin love marilyn? In other words, although monroe showed his true self in front of him, he was infatuated with Marilyn Monroe. Bowing down at the feet of the goddess and willing to do anything for her is the enthusiasm of youth and frivolity, and it is also the despair that cannot be loved by love. I feel the same way. However, if Colin really loves her, he should know that monroe will not be willing to dissect all his feelings in detail and put them under the blue sky for anyone to comment on and use them as after-dinner talk. No woman would want to. Monroe's ideal has not been realized after all, so many years later, people are still just talking about her beautiful history.
I don't know how credible Colin's record is, because memory is not reliable and may be deformed by time and subjective factors. But it doesn't make any sense to talk about it now.
Because all the romance has long been buried under the yellow dust.
