The "great crowd" comes from a story in Mark 5, verse 9 in the Bible. Jesus met a man who was possessed by an "unclean spirit." Jesus asked the unclean spirit's name, and the unclean spirit said We call it "group" because we have a large number. The "group" here is "Legion" in the original text.
"The Big Swarm" will revolve around the character of David Howler, who has been fighting against his mutant superpowers until he meets Syd (Rachel Keller), the girl of his dreams, and decides to accept his true self.
As David begins to realize his abilities and those of those around him, he finds himself being hunted by a covert government agency that wants to nurture him into a weapon, and a charitable organization that wants to help him understand and use those abilities.
