between dream and reality

American dream, watched it with Sunshine volunteers
I sometimes think pessimistically, if the dream doesn't match reality in the end, what should the dreamer be like?
Will the teacher continue to support it? Will mine workers still cheer as usual? Will Homer's father still back down for him? How many people think it's a "shortcut to get out" rather than "a dream come true"?
My answer is beyond experience, process and no regrets. How far a dream can go depends on how much of the burden of reality it can go through and how hard we work to make it a reality.
There are two people in each person's heart, the dream and the reality. Maintaining a certain balance and maximizing the meaning of life may be a topic that everyone has to face.

October Sky quotes

  • Roy Lee: I'll tell you what's unbelievable... captain of the football team being jealous of you.

  • Principal Turner: Miss Riley, our job is to give these kids an education.

    Miss Riley: Mmm-hmm.

    Principal Turner: Not false hopes.

Miss Riley: False hopes? Do you want me to sit quiet, let 'em breathe in coal dust the rest of their life?

Principal Turner: Miss Riley, once in a while... a lucky one... will get out on a football scholarship. The rest of 'em work in the mines.

Miss Riley: How 'bout I believe in the unlucky ones? Hmm? I have to, Mister Turner, I'd go out of my mind.
