"October Sky" after watching
If it weren't for the recommendation of similar movies, I would definitely not click on it - "October Sky".
Sky in October, I can't be sure what type of film this is, I can even be sure it's not the type I like; the four boys on the cover, I defined it as a historical type of film, and I have seen it countless times from Haven't opened it. But let me watch the movie and I know how wrong I was! In real life, many things are rejected by us, even if we haven't really understood it from the inside. So whose loss is it? It's ours. I think this is the first lesson this film taught me.
The film is the work of Jack Gillen, who plays the high school boy Homer in the film. I remember that before watching the movie, Renren Movies and TV pushed his information, saying that his eyes can speak, I can't be sure any more. The look in his eyes looking up at the starry sky when he went down the mine was heartbreaking, as if he had heard the sound of his dream breaking.
In October 1957, the Soviet Union successfully launched the world's first artificial satellite. The coal forest town organized the viewing, and the satellite not only left a beautiful trace in the sky, but also ignited the dream in Homer's heart. Under the organization of Homer, the four brothers went on a journey of rocket creation together. Although his father was extremely opposed, with the support of Teacher Lilei and his mother, the four set up "Coal Forest Corner" in the abandoned garbage dump outside the village. But Homer is deeply saddened, irritated and frustrated by his father's lack of support for his dreams.
His father was injured in a coal yard accident and was hospitalized. In desperation, Homer chose to give up his dream and work in a coal yard. Life in the coal yard did not extinguish his dream, but made him firmer his dream, "Sometimes you shouldn't listen to others. You should listen to your inner voice", "The coal mine is your life, not mine, I'm not going to the coal yard anymore, I'm going to space", "Dad, That's not't nosense." Finally, at Homer's insistence, he got a scholarship and left the small town of Coal Forest to realize his dream.
No dream can be easily realized. The road ahead is always full of difficulties. Only unremitting efforts can lead to success. When the last rocket was launched and the whole town was looking up at the sky, it was only then that I understood what the "October sky" was. It was the sky of dreams.
Sometimes one dream is enough to light up the whole sky.
