one-man play

The most touching thing about this movie is the undisguised performance of the male lead, without any trace of deliberate contrivance at all. I once doubted whether the actor himself was the bohemian country musician who came from the wind and rain.
The vicissitudes of life are an illusion. Diseases, wrinkles, and hair loss cannot resist the offensive of the crazy mind. It is not people who are defeated, but time. Who said that when people are old, they can only sit back and enjoy their years and spend their old age in peace? Drinking, smoking, and being in love aren't just the prerogatives of young people.
Bad has lived an unrestrained life all his life, swaying his talents on the strings to the fullest, and family love can't tie his uninhibited heart. And in the end, he found another life in the child and found peace. It wasn't a compromise he made with family, but he allowed it into his life and he opened his heart to people.
"The prodigal son, the real prodigal son, how to live is not a lifetime."

  • Jean Craddock: I didn't know what I wanted for a long time.

Bad Blake: But now you do?

Jean Craddock: Well, now I know what I don't wanna do again.
