The Straight Story--Retrieving Your Own Starry Sky

This is the story of one man transforming and integrating shadows. What Mr. Street saw and heard on the road was his process of integrating the shadows and his mental journey. Personality shadows a person's conscious self, just like brothers who were siblings in childhood. Originally, they had a good relationship and talked about everything. One day, because of their differences and fights, they parted ways, resented each other, and did not communicate with each other, just like Cain did to Abel. At the first stop, Mr. Street met a young mother who had run away from home. Combined with his daughter Ruth's deeds as a mother, he forgave the past mother's dereliction of duty and the harm he had caused unconsciously to himself.

The fragile "sticks" scattered in his heart. "re-bundled into a solid and not easily broken bundle, and regained the image and meaning of "home". At the second stop, Mr. Street met a team of cycling riders, and he understood the persistence of his young self in the past, just as the team was so long and so long, and he learned to let go and let go, let useless things disappear, important and unimportant. Anything that is missing will naturally stay. On the third stop, Mr. Street met a woman who killed 13 deer in succession, a number that symbolized death, a love that was as careful and caring as in the past, but still hit the rocks due to various accidents and reasons.. He forgave his past lover, ate the meat of a dead deer for dinner, and adorned the antlers in front of his trailer, learning that love is not about form and process. As long as it was there, it will always be there, with the heart. Love goes on.

At the fourth stop, Mr. Streeter's overwhelmed lawnmower finally breaks down in front of a burning house. This is where Mr. Streeter solves the core problem. His kind and helpful self, "Danny," helps him admit the truth of the matter, let go of his pride, understand and sympathize with his own pain and true feelings through a dialogue with himself (a dialogue with another old man in a tavern), seek reconciliation with himself, and understand that there is no such thing as a war with himself. He killed, not the enemy he thought, but himself. Twin brothers are two sides of oneself. They fight with each other. In fact, they are closely connected. Nothing in the world is more painful, anxious, or unsettling than leaving oneself. Mr. Street repaired his relationship with himself, repaired his lawnmower, and moved on to the fifth stop, a cemetery, a doctor, or a priest. He has obtained peace in his heart, like eternal rest, and at this time he also has the ability to heal himself (the doctor) and master himself (the priest). In the end, he finally reunited with himself and found his own starry sky.
