"August Osage County" is an American drama about family and marriage. At the beginning of the film, the landscape of the western plains of the United States is outlined through beautiful pictures of freeze-frame, which has a unique flavor. Especially those tall cylindrical haystacks scattered on the field exude a fairytale-like unreal beauty. However, these deliberately laid-out beautiful scenery seems to represent the fleeting illusion of quiet time, because the story played out is so cruel and so real. She swayed on the field of haystacks with her hair disheveled in sunglasses. It was as if seeing a person stumbled and stumbled in the torrent of fate, at the mercy of him, without the power to resist. I suddenly burst into tears. She is undoubtedly the poorest person in the story, even though she seems the most hateful one. However, life is so difficult and unfortunate that it is too heavy to bear, so it is released in a deformed way and passed on to the people closest to you. As a child, she simply longed for a pair of boots, begging her mother to buy her as a present at Christmas. It is unbelievable that his mother not only failed to fulfill her wish, but also deceived and mocked her in a mischievous way. She now tells this unfortunate story to her three daughters again. But those tears, accusations, and curses that should have been there, it took so many changes in the world to finally turn into an understatement of the past, and accept it calmly. Perhaps this shadow had already melted in her blood, solidified in her bones, and was dissolved in the body of her loved ones along with her harsh words, constantly diluting. The dinner table dinner is undoubtedly the best part of the play. Everyone harbors secrets, and every couple represses conflict, all hidden from view. Because this is a banquet after a relative's funeral, everyone needs to be polite. Because this is a short family reunion, then they will go their separate ways and return to their respective lives. However, no clues could escape her eyes. The crisis of Barbara's marriage, Karen's unreliable new boyfriend, Ivy's secret love with her "cousin", and even she knew from the beginning of the family scandal of her husband and sister's fornication. Moreover, she is unwilling to play her role as casually as others, the truth of life has destroyed her, and she will fight back with the truth.
