August: Osage County

I wanted to give it three stars, but Streep's acting is so good, I give it one more star. Family dramas, I haven’t watched many movies purely around this topic, and I’m a little uncomfortable, because I feel that the focus is not prominent, and the theme of the movie is not my focus, so after watching it, I have a feeling of “no interest”; but And that doesn't deny the movie's value (and even enormous value to others). Every family has a book that is difficult to read. This movie is equivalent to opening one of them and taking us to chew it carefully. Perhaps the important thing is not whether we can figure out the context, but whether we can find the shadow of our own family in the entanglements and grievances of another family, and help ourselves and our family live a happier life through analogy and reflection.

The plot feels too hard, but the performance is still very exciting

The estrangement of the three sisters + family secrets + the final companionship of the maid. This subject matter is similar to Bergman's "Shouts and Whispers", but it is obviously much more superficial. Dramatic conflicts and lines are too dense, causing distortion, even if life is more than drama Drama, after all, life is not a stage play far away from the audience. When you watch it closely, it turns out that these noisy people are not real, they are all hollow.
