life takes courage

Lying in the computer for a long time, for the two goddesses Julia and Meryl.

Wah's three daughters and her younger sister finally returned to their hometown of Osage County together after a long hiatus because of their father's disappearance and suicide. But everyone's life is really bad. The mother, Wah, has been taking drugs, and has been in a trance and confusion all day long; the younger sister Mattie thinks that her son, Charles, is not promising, and will even be late for the funeral; the eldest daughter Barbara and her husband Billy are separated, and there is a very rebellious one. The 14-year-old daughter Jane does not let her worry; the second daughter, Ivy, has never been able to find a suitable man to marry her, but in fact she is secretly dating her cousin Charles, who is in Ivy's womb. The excision was good at the time; third daughter Karen was going to marry her fiancé, Steve, but the man had been married three times and had been flirting with things, even trying to strike up a conversation with Jane after seeing her. Finally, at the dinner party after the father's funeral, the conflict broke out again, especially between Barbara and her mother, and even fisted each other. Under Barbara's suggestion, the whole family launched a drug removal operation.

Know that bad life and situations cannot be hidden. Finally discovered by the home cook one night, Steve was smoking weed with Jane, and even touched her. The third daughter Karen actually knew that the man she was going to marry was unreliable, so she fled her hometown in a rage the next day. Billy and Barbara had no hope of getting back together and took Jane home.

Barbara overheard Mattie and her husband arguing over their different attitudes towards their son. So Mattie told Barbara that little Charles was not her husband's child, but she and her brother-in-law, and Ivy was half-sibling. Barbara didn't know how to tell her sister the news. At this point, Ivy decides that she must tell her mother that she and little Charles are in love and are going to New York together. At the dinner table, Ivy decided to tell her mother that Barbara had been trying her best to stop it. Just when the two were arguing, her mother blurted out, I know you and he are brothers and sisters. I always knew that nothing could be hidden from me. Of course, although Ivy hadn't said it yet, Wa already knew the fact that she was in love with little Charles. So Ivy couldn't bear to stay in this house any longer, and also fled.

Only Barbara remained. Mother told her that your father would not have killed himself if you hadn't left the house so early. I will compare with your father, who is stronger. Barbara hugged her mother and said, you are the strongest. And then drive out...

The whole show feels more like Meryl and Julia Biao acting. Meryl vividly portrays an extremely abnormal state of mind, even the accent and unclear state of speech. The eldest daughter played by Julia starred without makeup, and the state of being strong but sometimes powerless is also insane.

I remember Barbara said to her daughter on the way back to her hometown: "Fortunately, we can't predict the future, otherwise we would not have the courage to get up every day." Yes, life requires courage, because it can give you a heavy blow and knock you out. The smashing of the fight can also make you have no power to fight back, you can only accept what it gives you.
