Maybe the most ridiculous characters with little to none plot adding to the very controversial setting of office affairs, yet I don't feel they are out-of-place and am not a tiny bit bored. The flawed characters, the flawed relationships, the flawed lives those beings lived, and the most importantly the repressing, flowing or subtle change of emotions among those characters really intrigue me. For once I thought I almost understood them, not sure if it is the dangerous emotion trap the movie wants to set or just some common sympathy that everyone will have for characters like that.
In the end I found out that I was wrong from the beginning. From the strangest angle, it just depicted the most discussed topic of human life: how to communicate, how to be able to love, how to get along with your life, how to appreciate your inner beauty, basically how to respect and accept yourself. Like what he did with the purple flowers, he can finally adore his purple goddess in the end. And it is worth to point out that the sadistic one is the one who is weak in mind, yet the submissive one is the one with actual power and strength to change both their lives. A little bit clichéd ending, but who doesn't need something sweet and dreamlike to hold on to? Such a weirdly emotion-evoking movie . And yes, I cried hard and I don't know why. Is it just someone channels the similar feeling that could fully understand it? I'll never know.
