In my memory, the name Allan Poe first appeared in The Bookstore on the Island. Of course, it appeared twice in total, the last time and this time. Last time it appeared in the role of a poet. The Poe’s "Timur" is the most valuable possession of the protagonist AJ in the book. In the end, he sold the book to fight with death to be with his wife and daughter. Time. This time, Poe appeared as a mystery novelist, acting simultaneously with his own novels. A mysterious man imitates the methods in his novels to kill, and guides him to participate in it through the police, in order to defeat this "proud celebrity" kidnapping his girlfriend, forcing him to write down his own ending, one life for another. Of course, the death of Poe in history is an unsolved mystery.
Because I don't know much about Poe, I don't know much about the movie, so I don't want to comment. I write it here as a commemorative. I have the opportunity to learn about this great poet and mystery novelist before reviewing it.
ps:
The word The Raven comes from Poe's poem of the same name. There is a sentence mentioned in the movie-Quoth the Raven, Nevermore.
The male protagonist John Cusack has acted in many psychological suspense films, such as "Fatal ID".
