behind the truth

I saw this movie a year ago.
Remember the changing sky at the end.
The film depicts that side of the victims' lives in long shots.
They are all ordinary people, ordinary one among countless students.
But they became victims.

The reason why I wrote this review is that I just watched the restoration and analysis of the Columbine High School shooting in the "Files" program.

Due to his father's job transfer, Eric moved a lot and lost his best friend every time he moved. Then he got used to being alone.
Eric's hobby is bowling due to his inability to integrate into collective sports such as baseball and football.
Columbine Bowling Alley is one of his favorite places to go.
Dylan is also a regular there, and they first met while working in a restaurant.
They became acquainted gradually and often bowled together.

Eric is a maverick. Dylan was attracted to his personality and wanted to be like Eric.

In a video they recorded themselves, they were walking down a hallway when members of an oncoming sports team deliberately bumped into Dylan. They didn't bump Eric.

It looks like Dylan is more vulnerable.

Bullying in American schools is not uncommon, and it is depicted in American school dramas, such as Glee. There are also movies like "The Perks of Being a Wallflower". The members of the rugby team, the members of the cheerleaders of the popular class, and the ordinary people, and finally the nerds and the geeks - are often the targets of bullying, deliberately bumped into, and ridiculed.

In some of Dylan and Eric's other tapes, their small organization, known as the Windbreaker Mafia. They acted as just and heroic black-clothed thugs, accepting the requests of the bullied children, and harshly teaching those who bullied them.

Their idol is Charles Manson, and their favorite movie is Natural Born Killers. My favorite game is Doom.

But in school, they were weak.

Dylan has a female friend and they went to prom together.

In the photo, Dylan is a very attractive person.

In another video, Dylan and Eric act out with guns, passing Eric's mother, who doesn't know it's a real gun.

They played two games of bowling that day before going to school.
They planned to detonate the bomb when the security rewind could not see the surveillance, but the bomb didn't go off.

They just started shooting.

In the library, a teacher who had been shot hid under the desk to call the police, and she did not dare to close the door. All I heard was "get up".
Dylan and Eric killed their classmates who were hiding under the desk one by one.

Finally they see a former friend and they let him go.

I don't know why I've been searching for this depressing news.
Shootings are still happening.

Dylan and Eric, the misfits. Me too, but not as serious. Good times and bad. University life, I reluctantly began to have some intersection with the collective.

Loneliness is always there, and the feeling of the world will change from time to time.

Life is a journey full of memories, forgetting and the unknown.
