Long Pose -- Violent School Shootings in America

Rampage School Shootings are when (former) students openly attack their school. The concept here excludes untargeted shootings by adults or strangers entering campuses, as well as targeted and planned lone perpetrators.

Since the 1990s, violent school shootings have come to the American public as a cultural phenomenon.

As of 2009 (and shocking shootings continued), Langman (2009) counted 74 deaths and 92 injuries in 10 RSS cases.

The first RSS occurred in 1966, when a Texas student shot and killed his wife, mother and 14 students. Then, in 1979, a schoolgirl shot and killed 2 adults and injured 14 students at the elementary school. In 1989, a 26-year-old criminal shot and killed five children and wounded 29 at an elementary school in California.

Most people blame American gun culture , guns do provide the possibility of school shootings (Eric and Alex buy guns online), but statistics show no direct link between shooters and gun acquisition.

In addition, the use of psychotropic drugs, especially Prozac, is one of the reasons people often blame RSS. In the absence of evidence, public opinion has accused Michael Carneal, Andrew Golden and Michael Johnson of taking psychotropic drugs. Eric Harris did take antidepressants because he was suicidal.

The elephant alludes to homosexuality and the Gay-Straight-Alliance (GSA; Gay-Straight-Alliance), because the campus environment discriminates against minorities, such as Asian or African-American criminals in some cases, leading to tragedy .

Of course, the media is also one of the reasons why it is often misunderstood. Elephant also reflects the changes that CS will bring to these teenagers' perception of the world.

Langman analyzed the 10 cases of RSS into three categories: traumatic, psychotic, and psychopath.
