The other side of youth is violence

In fact, if I only use one sentence to express my feelings, what I want to say is:

Demo, don't recruit me lightly, I am a teenager!
Points ———————————————————— After cutting
, I started to write seriously.

Today I watched the highly acclaimed movie "Elephant" in 2003.
Movies are categorized as: Crime. The story is about a shooting incident on campus.
Although the subject matter of the entire film is crime, and there are areas of violence. But it doesn't give people a depressing, dull feeling. At first glance, I always feel that it has the artistic conception of the Hong Kong version of youth films. The vast sky, the sparse white clouds, the wandering light music, the campus, the grass, the library, all kinds of boys and girls are busy with the things they focus on. On such a calm and ordinary afternoon, a violent school shooting incident was about to break out without warning.
The way the film is told is very special. Intricate characters and different locations are connected by stories again and again. What happened at the same time is repeated more than once in the movie. Every time the angle appears, it is different. There are plenty of long takes in the film, but it doesn't feel dull and procrastinating. Instead, it highlights the authenticity of the story. It was a living campus, a living youth, and a living violence.
Small details in the film highlight the inner division of the shooting teenager. When we heard the melodious music flowing briskly from the boy's hands, we couldn't help feeling the tranquility and softness of youth. However, as his friends entered his room and the camera swept across various posters and cartoons in the boy's house, it was not difficult to see his potential violent tendencies. Shots from a friend's computer game: innocent backs, sounds of shooting, fallen bodies. Everything in the computer game foreshadows the violent killings that are about to break out on the peaceful campus. Soft music and violent pictures on the walls, violent games on the computer are two completely unrelated things. At this moment, the fragile and divided inner world of the teenager was completely exposed. One side of youth is flying and pure, but the other side of it is violence.
When the film shows that they log on to the gun website to buy guns, it highlights the undisclosed conspiracy hidden behind them.
when everything is ready. The gay teenager who was cowardly and suppressed by inferiority finally exploded into a mighty force. Although that power is twisted and extreme. But this is how he expresses his hatred and his anger. He walked into the campus as usual, kicking off the long-planned drama.
About the shooting process. The film does not present very bloody and violent scenes, but more like an ongoing shooting game. Just like the computer game in the film shows: the innocent back, the sound of shooting, and the fallen body. The process is simple and straightforward. So much so that we have no time to criticize, criticize, and scold the cold-blooded teenager who shot, and even the film left us with no room for condemnation and anger.

Perhaps the place worth thinking and reflecting on is not the teenagers. But on a deeper level, right?
