Don't mind the story! If you tell it, it's just a fairly old-fashioned love story: Loyalty and unswerving love overcome evil, and they live happily ever after...
Don't care about the connotation! All kinds of lunatics get together to give the hero and heroine's love story an absurd and bizarre background. Why should it be forcibly labeled as "ism", and then guess the director's intention with reference to textbooks?
All we have to do is sit back comfortably and enjoy a David Lynch-esque surprise!
The narrative style of dream and reality intertwined may not be new - well, there are others -
dressed like a witch, trying to tie her daughter to her side, flirting with her daughter's lover, smearing lipstick all over her face, and marrying her lover The mother who conspired to burn her husband to death and let out a witch-like laugh; the
insanity and blood-covered girl who looked for her wallet after a car accident was worried that her mother would blame the girl who finally vomited blood and died;
the killer couple who had a strong sexual pleasure when they murdered with a strange appearance - the girl When I made a face, I was startled - I like the appearance of their daughter, the eyebrows and red shoes and black jacquard stockings are quite touching;
the robber with a wretched face, after robbing the bank, came out and ran into the police, and was finally killed by his own The head shot by the gun flew to the sky and then fell down, a muddy pool;
the shot bank clerk yelled and looked for the left hand shot by the gun, only to see a dog running away with it in his mouth; the
struggling girl, her face Enlarged, next to two thin arms that look like a big, deformed baby;
and the witch flying on a broom at night and her crystal ball...
The last scene should be said to be quite romantic. The horse-faced eldest brother whose nose was inexplicably slapped crookedly (this is the nickname of our team Nicolas Cage *^_^*) shouted his girlfriend's name, stepped on the car in the traffic jam and came to his girlfriend, and the two stood on the hood of the car Hugs and kisses, Big Brother Ma-face sings Elvis' "Tender Love" affectionately. He once said that he only sang this song to his wife... A
series of sharp and eerie images came to his face, like a series of sparks, making The human scalp exploded, and then an excitement rose from the chest and flowed through the limbs and bones.
What does David Lynch want to say? do not know.
Maybe, he just wanted to show his talent.
Or, this is his language.
