good witch, bad witch, oriental witch riding a broom, wizard of oz, rainbow, these kind words, including the heroine of "Blue Velvet" called Dorothy (Dorothy), are all familiar to us in the fairy tale "The Wizard of Oz" , the fairy tale ideal of the good and the good defeating the evil witch also seems to be the common theme that the two films want to express.
