Goose bumps: YY Dafa is good

In the 1990s, there have been a number of excellent family movies with adventure themes. These stories full of fantasy and innocence have grown up with a group of people. After entering the new century, this once-popular theme has declined sharply, and has even become a standard theme library for animated films.
Of course, this is not difficult to understand. After the "Harry Potter" series changed the trend of the times, the two giants "Youth + Antitopia" and "Superhero" were immediately ushered in. Obviously from the perspective of the market, it is difficult to stimulate the eyeballs of young people who are one of the main ticket warehouses again with the slightly outdated old-fashioned stories. On the contrary, the strategies of Pixar and DreamWorks succeeded because they took less risk. .
However, in the movie market bombarded by huge productions, every ordinary day we can still see may be a tiny miracle.

As Sony’s second action comedy film since the summer file "Pixel Wars" was unsatisfactory, "Goosebumps" and "Travelling Genius 2" together saved a bit of face with an ultra-low downward trend. To some extent, mid-cost family comedy movies are the right way for Sony to become famous. After playing with the little spider, maybe only 007 can be left on the account book that can add luster. If you plan carefully, you can actually have a lot of "goose bumps" to grow your face.
The film is based on "The Stephen King of Children's Literature" RL Stein's series of books of the same name, which is a drastic and traditional adaptation. The "Goosebumps" series of books was probably introduced to China around 2000. With its excellent quality, it has also cultivated some loyal readers (including me). Although the story lacks in creativity, in that era when paper publications are full of tricks, one two or three short, succinct and harmless "horror stories" are still better than those that sell transparent cards and "endless choices". Find the page".
From the time point of view, it is hard to say what lessons Sony learned from the loss of "Pixel Wars" that led to the performance of "Goosebumps", but to win the love of teenagers, after all, is a safer choice than a big belly.
Perhaps based on this, the film appears more mature in the choice of director and screenwriter. The director Rob Letterman was born in DreamWorks, and was the director/screenwriter of the "War Aliens" that was underestimated in my eyes (Actually, I think many of DreamWorks' works 5 years ago were underestimated). Also from DreamWorks is Darren Lemke, one of the screenwriters, and the remaining two screenwriters (Scott Alexander and Larry Kraszeski) have been partners for many years. Several main creators have found the perfect balance between horror and comedy.
From this point alone, the risk of "Pixel Wars" is avoided.

Some people may think that the lack of blessings from famous filmmakers would be a bad thing, but this film has done an excellent job. Although all under the banner of "horror" like the original, the sense of joy and youth in it neutralizes the sense of fear very well.
In fact, this is also one of the charms of the original book. It is full of humorous atmosphere suitable for both young and old, and it alleviates the tone of the horror element. In recent years, many so-called live-action family movies have failed because they have forgotten that bringing laughter is the most important thing. Comedy is not just for adults and animation, nor is it that only shit and cheap farce can cause a roar of laughter.
Sometimes, the audience does not ask too much (this point, the box office champions on the other side of the ocean have already studied it thoroughly).
Due to the story design, medium-cost special effects production is sufficient to satisfy the audience. After all, keeping a certain sense of animation will reduce the natural pressure of "Uncanny Valley" without losing interest. Most of the characters and background of the story have been explained in the first third of the film, leaving a generous hour to ride the horse. This is a very self-aware approach, which reduces the pressure on the audience to understand the story and enhances the sense of substitution. Although there are some redundant clues that have no beginnings and ends, they have not received the attention they deserve, but the lively viewers don't care at all.
Although the story of "Goosebumps" is very routine, it is surprising that it can bring a sense of freshness, which is probably due to the very good execution. The temperament of the main character and the actor themselves are integrated. Even Jack Black is in one of the best conditions of his career. From "Police Edge" to "D Train" to "Goosebumps", Jack Black obviously has something for himself. Many requirements and challenges, especially in "Goosebumps", played a very rare and interesting role, often in depression and anger, making audiences familiar with him have a refreshing feeling.
Like "Hotel Spirit 2", "Goosebumps" is not rushing to the full mark of the work, but rushing to carry forward the brand advantage. Although it may lack depth in the story, the film seems very firm in its choice. After all, it is impossible to dig out Carpenter from the subject matter of Ziqixiang. However, as long as the audience's imagination is still there, the film may one day become the forerunner of a live-action movie returning to family themes.

For moviegoers with a little movie-watching experience, the most familiar feeling that this film can arouse may be "Game of the Brave" starring by the great Robin Williams in 1995, or Emma Thompson. With Will Ferrell's 2006 work "Survival in the Pen", and even the more popular 1979 thriller "The Strange Men of Two Worlds" or Master Carpenter's "Black Hole".
Of course, the latter two are not considered home movies.
And the ambitions of "Goosebumps" and "Hotel Elf" are good. In this Halloween period, they are happy to make the audience happy. It should be in the hearts of Robin Williams and generations of comedians. The most beautiful thing.
