he can't touch her

Even if the first love is a marshmallow with sweet memory, it cannot dry the double tears of the youthful face.

Some people are much more interesting when you don't know them, and they can be anything you want; but when you do, they're going to have some deficiencies in one way or another.

People like to compare first love to an apple. After biting it, it will oxidize over time, but you can taste the different tastes of other fruits when you taste it sweet or astringent.

Who understands love when you are young? Long live love, but love is not everything.

The faint intersections have left no marks, but they have experienced the most gentle resonance.

From "Once" to "Songs Change Your Life" and then "Singing the Street", I have to say that John Carney's musical taste is very appealing to me. The narrative of his films is getting stronger and stronger, and the setting of the protagonist is getting younger and younger. The retro youth campus era, the nostalgic rock style, and the green love are not beautiful enough, but they are comfortable to watch. ...PS: I think, except for small children, I am not suitable for the behavior of exchanging saliva with many people.

This is a good and good-looking movie. There's nothing wrong with being a tearful audience. Thinking back to my youth, the dog is gone, and the homework is all over the place.

Sing Street quotes

  • Eamon: So how do you mean you're "happy-sad"?

Darren: Yeah, how're we supposed to market that?

Conor: It means we're not pop anymore.

Eamon: We were pop? Listen, I'm happy being anything. I just want to play music.

Conor: That's fine. Be who you are, Eamon.

    Eamon: Well, I don't know who I am. Maybe I'm happy-sad, too. I don't know.

  • Darren: What does "happy-sad" even mean? How can we be both things? It makes no sense.

Conor: It means that I'm stuck in this shithole full of morons and rapists and bullies, and I'm gonna deal with it, okay? It's just how life is. I'm gonna try and accept it and get on with it, and make some art.

Eamon: So how does that affect our music?

    Conor: Positively.
