This is Olympic Spirit

I really enjoy this movie, no matter how ordinary the topic may seem to me. I love Olympic, people with skills and passion gathering around, competing, express themselves and show their own moment. I don't care who is the winner, who are the losers. Those I really care and like are who never giving up their tries and dreams, like "Eddie the Eagle"

“The most important things in the Olympic Games is not the winning but the taking part. The important thing in life is not the triumph but the struggle.”

“Do it right or not do it at all.” I was think it was almost my motto since my childhood. Today, I still hold those words in my heart, reminding of one should struggle to earn and get, otherwise better not doing it at all.

After watching this movie, I realize not everyone are true experts and full of wonderful talents of the areas they really enjoy. Most people struggle their lives just to enjoy their own moment for good. And that's it.

3.5; As a super glass-hearted escapist who can only spin in nothingness, I really admire this kind of indomitable and courageous spirit, ignoring the ridicule of others, disregarding realistic setbacks, and only being responsible for my inner voice, which is very motivating and very inspiring. Healing; Uncle Wolf is so handsome, and Eggy's expression is imitated like eight points; the ending climax is well received by van helen's "jump".

Isn’t the logic and values of this film very problematic? The motives for choosing ski jumping (to participate in the Olympics to participate in the Olympics) and finally participating in the 90-meter platform (for reputation) are very utilitarian, not because of the love of the sport itself (the only I still use lines to express my love once). It is said that participating in the Olympics is not for triumph, and what the hell is it for the final scene to be warmly welcomed in Triumph.

Eddie the Eagle quotes

  • Bronson Peary: Let's face it, man, you've done the hardest part which is actually having the guts to do it, right? Most people take one look at it and walk away forever. Not Eddie Edwards.

  • Old Jumper: [on top of the ramp, behind Eddie's back] Der Englaender wird sterben.

    Subtitle: The Englishman will die.
