Glory moments

Every time I watch a sports movie, I feel very inspirational, and I also feel very shocked when I watch the sports meeting up close! Because unlike doing science or humanities, the human brain is hidden behind the work. Sports will let you intuitively feel the power of people, and then convey the spiritual power behind it.

This movie gave me some different perspectives on life choices:

1. If you always live according to other people's wishes, you can't go anywhere.

The protagonist has been told countless times by his father, by doctors, by professional judges, by athletes, etc. that he is not an athlete and told him to give up. His father made him a mason, saying that being an athlete wouldn't make any money. But he said he had to create his own moment of glory to prove that others looked down on him.

As girls, we are not like boys who are always encouraged by society to become stronger. On the contrary, we are always suppressed. For example, when girls grow up, their grades will decline. Girls are suitable for civil servants, don't mess around. There is also a teacher who is a teacher who actually said that it is better to marry well than to study well.

I think, as a member of women, we have to have a firm belief! Always believe that I will have better, more, bigger world and achievements!

When others can't, they'll tell you that you can't either. (Don't care about the denial of others! As long as you are willing to bear the result, you will do it according to your own ideas!) 2. You can move forward only when you forget winning or losing. (Don't be afraid of failure, don't give up when you fail, this is probably the sportsmanship that this movie wants to convey)

Some people say that the reason why habits are hard to break out is that they are strengthened each time they prove to be effective. The wolf king in the film was a recognized talent when he was young, but because of a failure, he was very frustrated after being denied and ridiculed by others.

He used his own experience to tell the protagonist to wait another 5 years and then go to the next Olympic Games when he was ready, because he was afraid that the protagonist would repeat the same mistakes.

But the protagonist made a different choice than the wolf king. He doesn't care about winning or losing, he's not afraid of the last place, he just wants to go all out and do the best he can. , created its own history! It is man-made, and it is God. If you underestimate yourself, you will live in vain. What you believe defines who you are? And who you are is everything

In 2020, I found a person I admired and fell in love, it was a girl. I used to know that I had feelings for girls, but I was always afraid, and I kept persuading myself to find a boy, because I felt that I couldn't bear the consequences of choosing a girl, and I didn't have enough economic ability and social status to convince my parents to fight against the worldly vision. ...I thought a lot and didn't do anything. It was not until I actually did it that I found out that all the obstacles previously set up were all set by myself. Also thank you honey for taking me, a timid novice, on the road, because you dare to take responsibility, so I also learned to be brave.

In 2021, I will no longer set so many obstacles for myself, and I will no longer think so much about things that have not happened. I will boldly pursue the life I want! Do your best to achieve your goals!

(I finally waited for the filming today) Although the sports inspirational films have a strong taste of chicken soup, we can roughly guess the ending, but the whole film is not too clichéd. The rhythm of several climax points is particularly well-adjusted, directly hitting the heart and crying several times.

The theme of a sports inspirational film based on a funny true story, this prototype character is actually quite boring. If it is not a little bit inferior in innate quality, who would care about a player whose performance is not convincing? Unlike other films of the same theme, the theme of this film is to praise subjective coolness and perseverance.

Eddie the Eagle quotes

  • Eddie Edwards: I just thought we could have a little chat about me being an Olympic ski-jumper.

Bronson Peary: You've more chance of being a ballerina than a jumper.

Eddie Edwards: Good one. I was juts after a few tips, really.

Bronson Peary: Give up, there's one for free.

  • Bronson Peary: [showing Eddie the models of the different ramps] I felll in love with this sport, man. It started with this little baby. This 15 metre little vixen. You manage to land that because it's meant to hook you into the sport, right, so otherwise you wouldn't even bother trying. The 40 meter, when you stack you get bruised, which I don't have to explain to *you*.

    Eddie Edwards: [chuckles] Sorry.

Bronson Peary: The 70 metre, you break bones and you're lucky if you can walk again. The 90 metre. The goddess. Let's just say in the Wild West we'd be measuring you for your coffin before you even reach the stairs. Never forget that, kid.
