female addict

For me, Female Addict is the most rewarding of the dozens of movies I've seen in the past year. Various montages, overprints, echoes and other techniques are widely used in the film. The film has outstanding artistry and excellent structure. Sex is the exposed theme of the film, but it is only a form of presentation medium for the spirituality of the film. Black screen. Accompanied by inaudible trivial noises, the sound gradually became louder from far to near. The screen appears when the noise suddenly stops. The silent empty shot continued, and the scene was a dark, dank alley on a snowy day. This is the first three minutes of the film. Strong beats, fast rhythms, and loud rock music sounded without warning. The picture shows a bleeding woman lying on the ground in a coma, and an unrelated man walking out of the house. This is the beginning of the film. The story is this. Seligman rescued Joe from the alley. At Seligman's home, Joe recounts her life experiences. The conversation between Seligman and Joe and Joe's narration are the two threads of the film. A multitude of symbols, metaphors, and interpretations link their conversations to Joe's progressive narratives that keep Joe's narrative going. Joe's narration is divided into eight chapters (five in the first part and three in the second part) according to different characteristic periods: Fly Fishing, Jerome, Mrs. H, delirium, Bach polyphony, East to West, mirrors, guns. It tells about sexual instinct, sex and ethics, sex and love, pain and pleasure. During the last three periods she went through, her guilt grew. So much so that when she faced Seligman, she showed her recognition of the rationality of her suffering, her abandonment of her rights, and her extreme denial of herself. But in her conversation with Seligman, her guilt was gradually dissipating. The progress of the first part is accompanied by the tiring of self-acceptance. Young Joe only followed his own desires, but the sexuality she had always pursued never filled her inner emotions. When she lost the ability to obtain sexual pleasure, her spirit with nowhere to settle could only succumb to her already ethereal sexual desire, but her self-awareness could not only focus on the physical pleasure, her personality was obtained in the second part exhibit. She faces up to her own desires, defends her right to pursue herself, and clearly reflects her kindness to her people. At the end, the friendly and knowledgeable Seligman takes off his pants, leading the whole film further into the depths. This is a powerful blow to the unwilling to think. We have reality, we have misunderstandings, we have obstacles. Acknowledging suffering, acknowledging man himself. Acknowledge our powerlessness and our agency. Honesty is almost cruel, which is another kind of softness. PS: The film itself is classified as an erotic film, so the scale will be a little bigger.

It's not that sex can't be used as a weapon (wealth), but once it's described in this way, it's vulgar. No, if even a lecherous woman wanted to try lesbianism, or if Jesus could feel sexual excitement while being whipped, it wouldn't seem like a big deal--not to mention the ambiguous whipping scene in "The Passion". Thinking of what--how can this kind of film noir's hatred of women cause uproar in the 21st century? Not to mention the report of the gunshot, I am afraid that even throwing rocks may not cause ripples.

The second part directly becomes "The Miserable Life of Matsuko", why are those flogging scenes so detailed? A theory about pedophilia has come to light, which makes people unable to refute and think for a long time. Although there are many uncomfortable scenes and ethics that challenge the bottom line of morality, after reading it, it can still make people reminisce for a long time.

Nymphomaniac: Vol. II quotes

  • Joe's Father: I've found my tree. My soul tree. And no, it's not that one, okay, 'cause then I would be dead.

[shows Joe a large oak tree]

Joe's Father: This is my tree.

Joe - 10 Years: It's not an ash tree.

Joe's Father: No, it's an oak tree.

Joe - 10 Years: It has two trunks.

Joe's Father: Yeah, isn't it great? It shows itself to both sides, the lake and the forest.

Joe - 10 Years: But, dad, how does a tree get two trunks?

Joe's Father: The most common reason is that the top broke when it was very young.

Joe - 10 Years: That means that you've been broken once. Have you, dad?

Joe's Father: [long pause] It seems that it can be rather revealing... to find your soul tree.

  • [opening narration for "The Gun"]

Joe: Whether I left society or it left me, I cannot say. I suppose you can make an argument for both sides. I was on my way to the shady side of the debt collecting business, which, among other things, involved stuff like burning people's cars.
