I never give a star rating to a movie because good movies are waiting for you to grow up.
I didn't finish watching these two movies in one go. And this topic is the result of my thinking after reading the first half.
I watched the first one, and I had a lot of doubts about the name "Female Addict" when the heroine told me that she started playing with her pussy when she was two years old - what kind of erotic film is this? A person who has a very good grasp of words and language is talking about academics! When the film began to enter the main topic, the heroine began to explain her own story, and the old man began to comfort the heroine, I felt that the dialogue between the two was exactly the same as the psychological counseling on TV. The old man plays the role of a psychological counselor and guides the heroine, a mentally ill patient, and the heroine slowly reveals her psychological problems one by one under the guidance of the old man. This is like a psychological counseling!
Let's look at the conversation between the two. The two cited scriptures and classics, with a tone of knowledge from astronomy to geography. They even use fishing as a metaphor, discuss Edgar Allan Poe, appreciate Bach's polyphony, and express opinions on sects. Doesn't it look like two thoughtful philosophers are giving their opinions?
After Mrs.H's story ended, the camera flashed to a picture in the room, which echoed the initial picture of H's story. I suddenly realized that the heroine must add a title before each short story. This is an improvisational creation by the heroine! The two only met for the first time, and no one knew whether the story of Joe told by the heroine existed or not. So I secretly thought that these stories were just a whim of the heroine after seeing the objects in the house.
After many setbacks, I found the second full version of the resources. I still lament the boldness of the director and actors, but it is obvious that the second part is very different from the first.
One commented that "the first one is about sex, the second is about addiction". Indeed, a closer look reveals that the sex scenes of the first and the second are very different. The first part is more about the interaction between the heroine and the men, and the second part is more about the heroine's own efforts to awaken her body.
The conversation between the two in the second part is still very philosophical. The two talk about religion, politics, and social issues. The heroine still marks each of her stories with a title, retaining the charm of improvisation.
The second part is a sublimation, and sex addiction is just a metaphor, it is just a representation of desire, used to describe the normality of people under various loneliness. The choice of the director or the heroine is quite interesting. Especially at the end of the movie, the heroine is dominated by desire for most of her life. When she is about to change herself and face herself, this excellent listener will drag her like an abyss again. "You've slept with countless men", you've fucked thousands of dicks anyway, don't mind helping me out again? This sentence is simply arrogant to the extreme. In front of the old man, he always had a gentle, respectful and thrifty appearance, but at the end he showed his true face of hypocrisy. Moreover, the old man remained a virgin for the rest of his life, and he was still unwilling to let go of this great opportunity. Simply ironic!
