After reading it, I realized that the most exciting thing about "Following" is the very innovative way of storytelling. A story that was originally told in a straightforward manner may not have any highlights and sparks. But director Roland used his genius idea to re-deconstruct the story, which made people's eyes shine!
In fact, this method is really very simple to explain. It is nothing more than dividing the story into A, B, C... until I part in chronological order. Roland's narrative method is not from A to I, but a model such as ADG, BEH, and CFI. As a result, there will naturally be a lot of jumps and interruptions in the middle, which naturally makes us feel bright, because we are always curious, we are always confused for a moment and want to figure it out. I have great curiosity about what I understand, (my girlfriend interprets this as the psychology of watching the fun.)
But the wonderful thing is that in the process of watching the film, I hardly feel the suddenness caused by these interruptions, there will be no A lot of inconvenience to understand.
I don't know much about movies, but I took the liberty of understanding from a layman's point of view as director Roland's top editing technique. I don't know if it's right or wrong? Ha ha
