(I finally watched the film I knew from a book in elementary school) I haven’t seen a musical before, and the aria at the beginning of the film gave me the feeling of a musical. Kind of weird. The second half of the plot is quite unexpected, there is almost no foreshadowing, Eliza and Higgins have a secret love, and at the end Eliza will come back is quite unexpected, I thought they would never see each other in this life. I didn't expect to be happy. ending, although looking back at the clip now makes sense. The ending and the beginning are quite memorable. The work uses the different thinking of men and women to complete the satire of male chauvinism, especially the scene of men celebrating after the prom, which makes men's self-righteousness and selfishness hidden under the coat of gentlemen are undoubtedly revealed. In short, it is not as amazing as I imagined. Maybe everything was reasonable in that era. Eliza's return to Higgins may be a very good destination, but now it seems that it is not good.
If Eliza hadn't turned into Lady Higgins would she have fallen in love with her? Can a linguist fall in love with a flower girl? Can two people in real life fall in love across classes and live forever?
