Persepolis is hard to relate to Persepolis?

To be honest, I didn't know it was an anime until I watched it. I like Iranian-themed movies because of my curiosity about Persepolis and the mystery of a Shia country with a 5,000-year-old civilization that is surrounded by many. So I chose to watch this film because I wanted to understand the history of the Pahlavi Dynasty, and I didn't think this film would have such a style. But after watching it, I still like it. It is completely black and white, and the language and animation have flavor.
The story tells the growth history of an unusual Iranian girl, from childhood to adulthood, from Asia to Europe, from war to peace, from religiousism to anarchism, from sexual repression to sexual indulgence. In fact, the span is quite large. The film is filled with the collision of one culture and one culture, showing the lives of one group of people and another group of people and the different thoughts of one person and another. I think this movie also wants to tell me that this is a diverse planet and that life is so diverse, why not watch it more?
