I don't know if it's because I didn't take it seriously or what, I always felt that Marcus' story was too far-fetched. It's like it exists for clues, it's very unnatural. I say this because I think this story is redundant. There might be a better story colluding all three stories, but this one was chosen. It can't be without it, but with it, it's like taking up the time of the movie.
It was fascinating at first, starting from the fantasy that Mary had when she was about to die. The tsunami scene is not real enough, except for the surging waves, there is no tense atmosphere.
But it was also from that place that I started recommending this movie to people everywhere. Been looking forward to the climax of the whole movie. However. no.
The whole movie is peaceful. It looks like something is missing, at least to me. After watching it for nearly 30 minutes, it was clear that it was three stories. The connection is not natural enough. The plot goes backwards. Actually, I expected a lot from the London Book Fair, but after the end, it was still too casual. There's also not much to describe the mood of each character.
Then it seems that there is nothing else except the "psychic" that attracts me.
The only thing that impresses now is. Forgot the name of the female character who learned to cook with George. Her appearance finally added a little color to the whole film. Especially after she left. George's loss is also much better. Those shots are the ones I think are the most interesting.
Well, these are my thoughts before reading professional film reviews. Just a little feeling.
