Watching "The Surprise of Three Guns Shooting the Case", one is directed at director Zhang Yimou, and the other is directed at Yan Ni. Originally, in the face of everyone's negative comments, there was still some disbelief, but the feeling after watching it was: this film really disappointed me. ——By the way, I downloaded the original "Blood Labyrinth" and watched it again.

Let's talk about "Blood Labyrinth" first. This movie is a very standard suspense movie, which vaguely has the feeling of watching Hitchcock movies before. - but unfortunately, I don't have a high opinion of Hitchcock and this type of film, which directly affects my rating of "Blood Labyrinth". In my opinion, in order to achieve a suspenseful effect, this kind of film will affect the rationality of the plot to some extent. For example, why did the victim lock up the photos in this film, and why did the killer pretend to be a dead victim in the end, etc. These are basically innocuous details that can be justified.
In addition, what I like most about "Blood Labyrinth" is that it emphasizes that different people stand from different angles, see different sides of the case, and then make different interpretations from their own positions. These "collisions" of thinking and the different behaviors that result from them are very interesting to me.

In contrast, the adaptation in "Three Guns" was a failure, amplifying the shortcomings of the original without fully demonstrating the strengths.
As far as the plot is concerned, there are more unreasonable elements in "Three Guns", and there are many unexplainable flaws, such as how the blood clothes as evidence came from; when the killer sneaked in and found that the body had disappeared, why did he still Take the risk of going into the basement again and so on. Also, killing the mouth with an arrow in the end is also a failure. The Chinese-style "arrow" and the Western-style "gun" are really not equivalent in daily life, so that when I see the arrow, I will think that a new character has appeared, which eventually causes The doubts are far more than the horror atmosphere I want to create.
Second, at least in terms of the lyrics of the ending song, "Three Guns" also wants to emphasize the idea in the original work, that is, different people interpret the same event from different angles. However, the adapted film did not develop enough in this regard to cause the audience to think; and the rhythm of the plot was unreasonable - too much background was explained in the front, so that the plot from Xiao Shenyang buried the body to being killed jumped too fast, making the most The plot that can express the main idea can not use the brush and ink, which also greatly reduces the thinking elements that the movie can bring to the audience.

PS: My favorite part of "Three Guns" is the scene of Sun Honglei dancing in the ending song~

    Ray: What'd he say?

Abby: Nothing. He's like you, he doesn't say much.

    Ray: Thanks.

Abby: Except when he doesn't say things, they're usually nasty. When you don't, they're usually nice.
