Everyone has a Lucifer in their hearts

Very depressing.
Although I had known about this experiment for a long time, I was still stuck watching this movie and was touched several times. The huge black hole of the human heart is often frightening. It took Zimbardo thirty years to revive the experiment, writing the book "The Lucifer Effect," in which he himself said he was also unknowingly becoming a "guard" or "prisoner." ".
People, the environment, and the system are the three factors that cause behavior. It is not whether the apples are good or not, but whether the barrels in which the apples are placed are good or not. The influence of the environment on people is far greater than we think.
I originally wanted to write a film review, but after watching the film and reading more relevant literature, I sincerely felt that human beings are inherently evil at the beginning, and Freud's insistence on sexual and aggressive instincts is the true face of human nature. Kindness comes later. Maybe blood ties are inherently good, but what about creatures that have nothing to do with oneself? Can aggression and bullying be avoided all the time? Doubt it...
this movie, highly recommended. I won't write a movie review, I have to slow down.

The original work is based on real experiments conducted at Stanford University in the United States. The changes in this film are more dramatic, and of course the controversy caused is not small. However, I always think that Germans are unique in making ethical films about society and human nature. If you are interested, you can watch "Die Welle".

After reading it, the central slot is 3: The male protagonist looks too much like my brother/I fell in love with 2 female characters/Germans’ laugh points and IQs are generally a bit low

The Experiment quotes

  • [first lines]

Tarek Fahd, Häftling Nr. 77: [voiceover, reading newspaper ad] Test subjects wanted. Earn 4000 marks for a 14-day experiment in a simulated prison.

  • [last lines]

Nachrichtensprecher: [voiceover - spoiler] The tragic outcome: two dead, three injured, among them project leader Professor Klaus Thon. Clearly, the experiment went out of control after two days. The district attorney is investigating two possible manslaughter charges and several charges of abuse and negligence. One of the test participants has been arrested. The project direction will probably have to answer to a court. According to statements by one of the scientists, the escalation might have been prevented by aborting the experiment earlier.
