Although a person's character often determines which path he will take, we still often need a few fuses in life, which detonate life, blow up the past, and usher in a new life. Steven's fuse was that he had abandoned his biological mother and refused to recognize him, and there was a minor car accident. He finally decided not to be the good gentleman, good husband, good father, good citizen and good Christian. He has to cherish his time and do what he loves to do.
Love is like a distant landscape. We look at it from different windows and different angles, and we see different things in the end. Some people are deeply indulged in love, and some people do not believe in love. And Steven and Morris certainly belong to the former. Their first meeting in prison led them to find the love of their lives. Maybe some people don't believe in this kind of love at first sight, this kind of love that finds out at a glance that the other party is the other half of their soul, but what I saw in the movie is exactly that. Everything Steven does is like the earth revolves around the sun, he revolves around Morris.
Morris said that Steven's life was so entwined with lies that he didn't even know who he was. Maybe this is the case. Steven is too smart. In order to get out of prison, to save Morris, and to make money, he made up all kinds of lies and used them on various occasions, and people actually believed them in a confused way. However, I believe he really did this to stay with Morris. It's just that he doesn't understand that the happiest thing for two people to be together is not living in a mansion and driving a sports car, but staying together quietly in ordinary life.
The final result was beyond my expectations. AIDS was another big lie made up by Steven. He could not die, but he was sentenced to life imprisonment. But with his cleverness, in this inexplicable world, who knows what his ending will be like?
Jim Kelly's performance is eye-catching, with exaggerated expressions and movements, and a brilliant performance of a clever and infatuated liar. Morris, played by Ivan, is also very cute, just like a little daughter-in-law.
I really like the soundtrack in the film, and it complements the compact and smooth plot perfectly. I really like the clouds in the film, especially the funny look. Life is a ridiculous farce.
