"Delicious" is Mike Haneke's work after completing the "Glacier Trilogy". The Austrian version of the 1997 film was remade by the director in 2007, with a new American version. It's a classic thriller.

Audiences who are familiar with American thrillers should be able to find several stereotypes: the

rhythm is faster , the scenes are
bloodier , and the murderer
is generally clear in the middle and later stages . The protagonist will be able to break free from the murderer's restraint, and the two sides will chase and fight. Although the protagonist is tortured, he will eventually survive the film . So it became a classic thriller because Mike Haneke completely subverted these stereotypes. First of all, the rhythm of "Great Delight" is very slow, the scenes are not bloody, and the audience basically cannot see any scenes of torture. Secondly, the murderer showed his true colors from the very beginning, and made it clear that he would kill all the victims within a certain period of time. Moreover, the murderers were two very gentle-looking, good-looking and polite college students. Both had bright blonde hair, spoke politely, and wore clean and neat white trousers. In the end, it was the children of the victim's family who were first killed, and justice was ultimately not served. The victim's family died, and the two murderers were discussing philosophical issues while moving on to the next victim's family. There was also a turning point in the film. The victim broke free and fought back for a while, but this was just a trick played by the director to mock and tease the audience.

At the beginning of "Great Delight", contrary to the normality of Mike Haneke's movies, the whole movie is unfolded with joyful laughter under the bright sunshine. The family drove the car to the holiday home in high spirits. When passing the golf course of the neighbor's house next door, the family saw a young man who was completely clean and standing with the neighbor's male owner. Therefore, when I saw the young man coming to borrow eggs later, I doubtless opened his hands to welcome him. As a result, because the young man repeatedly "accidentally" broke the egg and insisted on taking some more intact eggs, the two sides began to have some unpleasant atmosphere, and finally "fired away", which evolved into two young people kidnapping the victim's family 3 mouth, and saw that the two young men always treated the three victims in a polite and courteous manner, but the three victims returned hostile looks and angry tone.

The situation after that is just like what the English title of the movie Funny Games said. The two young people tried to play some small games with the victim with a relaxed attitude, but the victim could not see the fun at all. When the victim fought back for the first time, knocking over two young men, the child escaped. In the dark, the child fled to the next door neighbor's house, in contrast to one of the young men who just followed slowly behind. After all, this is a holiday villa area. Most of the houses are vacant. There is no need to worry about other people appearing. This child has no chance at all. Sure enough, the child was caught at the neighbor's house, and after seeing the neighbor's body. The "kind" young man played good music for the child to listen to before bringing him back, along with a shotgun.

After the young man returned to the victim's villa, he went downstairs to the kitchen to get himself something to eat. At this time, the first shot of the film sounded. Upstairs, except for the mother squatting and kneeling, the father and child fell to the ground, and the wall where the TV was located was splattered with blood. When the audience thought that the father was killed, they were shocked to realize that the child was killed. The two young men had an argument over the mistakenly killing the child and left the villa together during the argument, constantly apologizing to the victim before leaving. When the father and mother found out that the killer had left, they fought back their grief and tried to get themselves out of trouble. But the only mobile phone was soaked in water by the murderer, and the father's leg was broken. Mother had to muster up the courage to go outside alone to ask for help. Since the adjacent villas on both sides were empty, my mother had no choice but to run on the dark and quiet streets, but still no one was seen. The mother knew that the two murderers were likely still nearby and would return at any time. So when she saw the car lights in the distance, she immediately hid behind a tree by the side of the road. It wasn't until the car drove past that she felt that it should not be the murderer, so she jumped out to call for help, but unfortunately the car had already driven far away.

My father sat alone in the kitchen on the first floor, drying his phone with a hairdryer. Although the phone can be turned on smoothly, but there is no dial tone. Finally got a dial tone, but the power went out. After waiting for a while in frustration, the father and son heard some movement from the door of the room. It may be that the murderer has returned, or it may be that the wife has come with rescuers. When a white golf ball rolled past the kitchen door, the father knew that the murderer had returned, but he didn't expect the murderer to bring back his wife as well. It seems that this escape operation is a small game arranged by the two young people. So everyone sat face to face on the sofa in the living room on the second floor as before. However, because of her mother's heroic action this time, the murderer decided to give her a chance to choose: kill her first or kill her husband first, with a small, slow knife or with a fast and accurate shotgun. Of course the wife was silent. In the end, the murderer killed the husband first, with a shotgun. But an interesting thing happened in between. When one of the young men announced that the wife would be given a choice, the wife grabbed the shotgun in front of her with her bound hands and resolutely pulled the trigger and shot the other young man. But something even more unexpected happened: the remaining young man cursed and rummaged for the remote control. After finding the remote, he pressed the reverse button, and the camera quickly reversed, back to when he asked his wife to make a choice. This time, as the wife bent over to grab the shotgun, the young man pinned her down.

The two young men boarded the yacht with their tied wife and sailed towards the other side of the lake. Earlier, the wife was with one of the young men when a few friends arrived on a yacht at the dock of the victim's villa. Because the wife was concerned about the safety of her husband and children, she acted as if nothing had happened in front of these friends. The young people around her chatted with them at the right time, and learned that these friends lived on the other side of the lake. After being put on the yacht, the wife found a knife that the husband had landed on the boat yesterday. She secretly got the knife and slashed hard at the rope that bound her hands. At this moment, the two young men were concentrating on controlling the course of the yacht, while chatting about irrelevant topics, while squinting and in a playful tone, mockingly said that the lady would never give up the chance to escape. They took the knife and threw it into the lake. One of the young men turned around and pushed the wife into the lake after confirming that there was still an hour left before the agreed time to kill the whole family. It turned out that the young man was hungry and decided to end the game early. After parking the yacht, the young man walked to the pier and knocked on the door of those friends. When the hostess came to the door wearing a nightgown, the young man said he wanted to borrow a few eggs and reminded the other party that the two had met yesterday. So the hostess opened the door with relief.

The name of this movie is actually "Fun Game", which on the surface refers to the game between the murderer and the victim, but in fact it is more of a game between the director and the audience. In the film, the two young people deliberately arranged several chances to escape, but secretly controlled everything in their hands, silently enjoying the fun of the cat's trick after catching the mouse. In the same way, the director makes the audience think that the victim will be able to escape under the influence of justice. , satirized audiences have unrealistic optimism and expectations about life because of the influence of stereotyped films.

When the husband inadvertently dropped the knife on the yacht in the early part of the film, the experienced audience must be sure that this is the director's foreshadowing, and the knife will play a key role in the back. When the wife was escorted to the yacht and saw and got the knife, the experienced audience must have said loudly: Sure enough, I knew it! The result is that the audience is very embarrassed. When the wife in the film gets the gun and shoots one of the killers, the audience is cheered and cheered. However, this time the director used the most vicious way to attack the audience, letting another murderer use the remote control to reverse the screen and rewrite the situation. At this moment, the director is obviously hiding behind the film and snickering: You think this is a film, everything in the world is so beautiful, since you think this is a film, then I will use the method of film to wake you up. Life, you want to be beautiful!

At the end of the film, as the two young men sit on the yacht and head for their destination, they chat about a story about the coexistence of real and fictional worlds. One of them said that when people in a fictional world can see and hear like a movie, then it is the real world. This quote sums up Mike Haneke's understanding and beliefs about the film. The world in the movie is tantamount to real life, so things in the real world should be told, rather than numbing and fooling the audience with beautiful and illusory plots. This is the greatness of Mike Haneke's work, it makes you think about life, but after reading it, you feel deeply: Damn, you were fooled by Mike Haneke again. It's ironic, the person who is most reluctant to fool the audience always makes the audience feel fooled.

  • Paul: Okay, let's play another game. It's a guessing game.

[Paul takes out a golf ball]

    Paul: What is this?

[Paul drops the ball on the floor]

    Paul: [to George] Sir?

    George: It's a golf ball.

Paul: Correct! It's a *golf* ball... But why do I have it in my pocket? Hm? The lady knows why. Because... Well?

    [Paul, exasperated, turns to Peter]

    Paul: Well?

Peter: Because you didn't hit it.

Paul: Correct! Because I didn't hit it! And *why* didn't I hit it?
