Because this film led me to think and ask myself questions, and I couldn't give myself a satisfactory answer: If I could use my wealth (assuming I have) to buy a limited life and time, would I be in Before you die, buy yourself a few more decades?
My instinct is, of course not. Birth, old age, sickness and death have always been the natural laws of the world. The so-called life and death have fate and wealth in heaven. Humans are a very small but important part of the natural world. As for the wealth, of course, it will be left to my family and those in need.
However, I started to hesitate. The only thing in this world that cannot be learned and copied is experience. I am willing to trade money for more time for more experiences: those with the family and friends I love the most, those who go to more countries and regions to explore different cultures, those who learn new skills and constantly improve themselves experience and so on.
Therefore, I am not sure, if there is an opportunity that can prolong my life in front of me, I will wave my sleeves indifferently and not cherish it.
Then comes the follow-up question: what would I do if, after prolonging my life, I found that my new life was at the expense of other people's deaths? How do you explain to those around you where your decades of time and life in the future will come from? If people around me wanted to follow my example, would I support or oppose it?
So, are you willing to live a long, long time before you die a long, long time?
