When The American was
released, I didn't have time to watch it, so I had to watch it online. I didn't know much about the film before because there wasn't much publicity for the film, so I couldn't understand it. I only saw a small introduction on GQ by chance. Fortunately, I am not a movie fan who has a strong admiration for visual effects, and I am not a deep control of all kinds of films, so I liked it after watching it, maybe it made me feel boring and difficult.
I don't know how to manage a successful film review, but I will follow my inner feelings and write the most authentic after-view. Because it is an afterthought, if you are interested in reading this article, you may wish to start with the film, maybe you will have more experience than me, so as to communicate. The overall feeling is that the director has something he wants to talk about, but it is not the purpose of making the film. It feels like the important thing is the style. I fell in love with this style.
The hero of the film is George Clooney, which is also the absolute reason for me to see this film. The limitations of the script do not require the actors to make too much breakthrough performances. If George Clooney is the image of the film , that director Anton Corbijn should be the character of the film. The story is very simple. I think the film is just right after watching it once. If there are too many, it will greatly reduce the director's style. Different people watching the film should have different feedback. The reason I recommend the film is not the script, not the box office, but also It's not the acting skills of the actors, but just two simple words - the camera. Speaking of which, I will mention "The Tourist" (The Tourist) by the way. The stories of the two works both take place in Italy. It is not difficult to compare this point. The latter allows the audience to see the beauty of Italy, while the former makes The audience saw a story that took place in Italy.
