Stupid humans are played by aliens again

This title might kill Matt a bit, but...so be it, maybe it has nothing to do with the comments.
In the first issue of "SFW", I mentioned the so-called low-cost brain-burning film, and mentioned such a (but it seems to be a negative textbook?), so I looked for it.
This is a Sundance participating film, low cost, so I have to play with the concept.
The three young men tracked the signal of a provocative hacker and somehow entered a weird research institute. Then there was a weird and somewhat horrifying story.
It mainly involves the legendary Area 51, which is related to aliens and so on. I remember it was once very popular, right? So does the old research institute in the protagonist's mouth have a retro taste? But don't understand, don't say anything.
A few young people are fine, the black uncle plays well, a few small fresh pictures are good, the soundtrack is good, New Balance is bright, the atmosphere of the institute is good, and there is a sense of horror.
The focus is actually on the concept of Area 51, just like the male second discovered that they are guinea pigs and alien test subjects. This hypothesis is also confirmed as the plot unfolds until the mystery is revealed: what kind of manipulator, the machine retreats. Bionics (Does android take electric sheet?) The big space station.... In the film, some foreshadowings are designed, such as the weird research institute, the obnoxious old lady fat man, etc., which should be hints.
However, the whole story seems to have a sense of drug abuse by the director and the scriptwriter. Aside from the entire setting, the whole is still slightly thin. In some places, I feel that the momentum is wrong and cannot be restored in time... In short, the movie has a feeling of missing something, a kind of Believe, but can't fully believe the sense. The whole film is basically bet on the last few minutes, won't it go too far?
However, since Sundance is the stage for independent filmmakers to perform, it is expected that they will bring other outstanding movies!

New Balance takes you to fly!

From the very beginning, it was the male protagonist’s sleep. It can be explained that aliens can span light years to the earth to catch humans for experiments, but they use human antique recorders and televisions, and there is actually one in the stinky red treasure box. Just a small pistol, there are too many illogical. It can be regarded as the subconsciously disabled male protagonist's desire for a pair of scuds.

Even in terms of the 14-year sci-fi environment, the setting is already very old. The interference of aliens on the human body is not uncommon in movies and comics. Quite Inuyashiki, but the latter is much more interesting. In addition, Lao Lao is indeed suitable for such sci-fi works that continue the style of the Matrix.

The Signal quotes

  • Nic: The truth of the matter? What is the truth of the matter here? The only thing I know for certain is that you don't know what you're dealing with. You will be pulled from this shitty little shack you call a research facility so fast that the only thing relevant to be shown for any of this is the way it's all exposed, wrecked, and forgotten. You have *no* idea! You have no clue! Do you? Have any clue how fast dumb, lost little kids like me, Jonah, or Nomad could ruin a place like this? Have it come grinding to a halt like the stone wheel it is? You're clueless law in the Wild West, Damon. You're a relic protecting ruins. You're pathetic! The truth of the matter is that I'm the only one that has any sense around here.

  • Jonah: They're testing us, Nic. Like little rats.
