pursue inner freedom

I've been watching this movie for over a week and I haven't finished it yet.
On the one hand it is due to the heavy theme.
On the other hand is last week's translation task.

Originally, I thought that the film that solved the problem was a good film.
So I don't like food and love because it doesn't find a way out for women.
It is now becoming increasingly clear that a film can just tell a story.
Let people understand a phenomenon, a culture, an attitude, a way of life.

I think, in addition to telling a story, what it conveys to us is to face the heart.
Teena Says: Finally everthing felt right.
Lana's confession, and the road trip she took at the end.

Pursue inner freedom.

After reading Chen Si'an's novel "Transformation, Story", I thought of this movie again, and really made up my mind and mustered the courage to watch it. Every time Brandon is called "miss", my heart breaks, and when everyone finds out that Brandon's daughter is about to be brutally examined, I can't watch it any longer. It's so cruel and inhuman. oh, Brandon, such a pure soul! He looks so good-looking, with crisp short hair and clear eyes, he is clean and handsome that is different from men. Hilary Swank's performance, I was shocked, I was speechless. (The next day, I watched the last half hour frame by frame, and I felt very uncomfortable at the moment.)

Boys Don't Cry quotes

  • Dave - Deputy: Miss Brandon? Miss Brandon, we ran your Charles Behrman ID through to the computer, and this is what the Lincoln authorities faxed us over. You tell me.

Brandon: Wow... This Teena chick's pretty messed up.

  • Sheriff: Why do you go hanging out with guys, you being a girl yourself? Why do you go around kissing every girl?

Brandon: I... don't see what this has to do with what had happened.

Sheriff: I'm asking you all these so that when I speak to the jury, they're going to want some answers, so I have to know exactly what is going on. Now, are you going to answer my question or not?

Brandon: I... have a sexual identity crisis.

    Sheriff: You have a what?

Brandon: I have a sexual identity crisis.
