Killing Eve Season 1 (2018)

2018 / US, UK, Italy / Drama Action Thriller / Ron Easter Damon Thomas Harry Bradbeer / Jodie Comer Sandra Oh

First of all, I personally think that the entry on the homepage of "Killing Eve" should really be revised.

Why? Because KE is obviously a comedy! No matter what, it won't be reduced to a "thriller" TV series! I remember being misled at first by watching KE as a serious crime suspense drama, and it ended up... throwing cold water on me (ah no, it's ice cream).

How can it be a horror?

So don't worry about the rationality and authenticity of the plot, because KE still has a more exaggerated and lively style. After all, Phoebe is good at writing comedy. Take it easy and enjoy the unexpected plot and superb acting skills, and of course Chiu Di's good looks and gorgeous costume show!

Here I have selected some of the humorous plots that I think are the funniest and most representative in the first season of KE to review. Two seasons are over.) The comedy sections that are continuously and evenly distributed in small segments run through almost the entire TV series. They can not only make the audience laugh and give people a moment of respite in the tense plot, but also act as a bearing, so that the plot can transition to the next stage more smoothly. Here we must praise Fei's powerful skills.

Without further ado, let's get started.

S1E1

1. My arm is numb

A terrified Eve

After the stunning debut of the Vienna ice cream shop villanelle, the title "Killing Eve" flashed across the screen. Immediately afterwards, with a burst of piercing screams, our protagonist Eve appeared embarrassed. Eve woke up screaming from her sleep, while her husband Nico was frightened and scared, anxiously comforting his wife.

Eve screamed so miserably, I almost thought she had some unknown psychological trauma. Many anti-war movies use the scene where the protagonist wakes up from a nightmare to express the trauma he suffered in the past. But Eve, you don't look like someone who served in Iraq. Is it the shadow of childhood? At this moment, Eve personally revealed the ridiculous answer: the arm was unconscious. This strong contrast is really... I said, although it is really uncomfortable but it is not necessary! The KE show just doesn't let you guess what's going to happen in the next second.

Of course, introducing Eve in this way also paved the way for her later neuroticism and the hidden Psychopath tendency in her heart.

2. Scare you!

master of suspended animation villanelle

After successfully assassinating a Russian politician in Vienna, villanelle returns to Paris, the romantic capital she has longed for day and night. Currently, she lives here and owns a very "cool" apartment (organized, of course). Although villanelle was already exhausted at this time, but looking at her high-spirited look in a trench coat and a bag over her shoulder on the streets of Paris, she knew that she must be very satisfied with the results of her work. After all, murder is really a fish in water for her. Enjoy the task!

What could be more gratifying than a little girl who successfully completed the task and successfully took revenge on the little girl who refused to smile at her!

When he got home, he threw down his nasty bulletproof underwear and put on a comfortable silk nightgown. Little V couldn't help sighing in front of the mirror at his delicate face: "beautiful!" At the same time, he brewed a new naughty plan in his heart.

In fact, everyone has played about suspended animation, and there is nothing new, but villanelle is really a dedicated actor. A face painted white, sleeping pills carefully arranged at random, and a quiet Eric Satie on the radio, slumped on the sofa with a bottle of wine in hand, as if it really was the case. Everything is ready, only the east wind is due, who is she waiting for? Naturally, it was the contact person assigned to her by the organization, Constantine with the iconic beard.

With a creak, Constantine pushed open the door of the apartment, but Villanelle was nowhere to be seen, only the piano music played in the quiet room, presumably she was doing something else.

Uncle Kang who pushed in the door

Walking into the living room, Lao Kang finally saw villanelle who was "dead" on the sofa. Of course he knew that such a life-loving killer would not commit suicide. So he whispered, "I can see you breathing." As if to declare villanelle's plan a failure. But how can the little pervert give up? Between the lightning and flint, she suddenly stood up and shouted, so shocked that Lao Kang covered his chest and stepped back again and again, I believe many viewers were also taken aback.

After that, villanelle coquettishly asked Constantine to admit that she was frightened, if only a little. Seeing how serious she was, I couldn't help laughing. She also asked: "Did you think I was dead? Would you be sad?" She is so cute and narcissistic, she is indeed a Psychopath! Research has shown that most Psychopaths are highly narcissistic and exaggerate their own position in the eyes of others, a trait that villanelle shows most vividly (especially in the first few episodes).

You must be sad when I die!

Never mind the little pervert, you'll soon learn that things won't always be smooth sailing.
