Some films are good to watch while eating, some are not at all. At the beginning of dinner today, I made a wrong choice: I put Elizabeth in the DVD player, and I picked up my rice bowl, ready to start a delicious visual, auditory and taste journey. Obviously, it all went on. Not as smooth as I imagined.

It started with a brutal burn at the stake. The scoundrel swiftly shaved the hair of the Protestant who was groaning and praying under his hand, bloody and bloody, and this scene seemed to make the distance between the fragrant vegetables on my chopsticks and my open mouth, a thousand miles of water, for a while. The pain made me realize that I started watching a movie at the wrong time... ummm... It shouldn't be a wrong movie, it's all about watching it before making a decision. And then there's the stake, like all the "heretics" of this age who stand on the opposite side of interest groups, Bruno, Joan, Servetus..., they scream in the flames, pray, they are bad Black times, this is my terrible dinner. The court, as dark as all the rotten courts in this world, is where rumors and conspiracies, adultery and rebellion grow and germinate.

The only sentence that made me want to laugh instantly was "The Queen is pregnant"

PS. Half an hour later, I was surprised to see Cantona

There is really no resistance to this classical British style. As a movie, it is very good. It has first-rate viewing ability, including service, plot, rhythm, emotion, casting, and performance. As a historical movie, it is a bit of a joke, but the shortcomings have a heavy sense of history. Anyway, as soon as Queen Cate appeared, labor and capital were stunned @@

Cate Blanchett established a masterpiece in the film industry. Politics did not let women go away, but stood on the cusp of the storm. From the beginning of the innocent girl princess to the crowning of the throne, she experienced Elizabeth step by step and became more and more. Calm and capable. Say no in the face of political marriage. But married to Britain! The cast is very strong, as well as former French international Cantona. Such a British historical blockbuster, directed by an Indian director, is visually gorgeous in the stage and makeup, and there are also singing and dancing performances. In the last scene, with a somewhat tragic background music, Elizabeth slowly walks towards the throne. Tears, politics makes women stronger!

Elizabeth quotes

  • [regarding Elizabeth's impending reign]

Unseen Gentleman: Your Grace, Protestants are already returning from abroad.

Norfolk: Yes. And have made plans to massacre every Catholic in England. There would be butchery indeed if such a plan were even conceivable.

Norfolk's Man: They say Walsingham will return from France.

    Norfolk: Walsingham is nothing!

[aside to Norfolk's Man as he is leaving the room]

Norfolk: Be sure he does not.

  • [Mary, on her deathbed, is refusing to sign a warrant for Elizabeth's execution]

Norfolk: Will you leave your kingdom to a heretic?
