The cast does not need to be emphasized, the fashionable and youthful but already familiar with mature and natural acting skills. Luckily I found this movie, it was my first reaction after watching it. At the end, I covered the corners of my eyes, there was no strong sadness, but I did my best to know nothing in life who,) finally returns to the id process. Everyone leaves and returns. Like the ocean tides, like the earth and the sun, like the male protagonist, there is a love that is trying and willful, and there is a family and friendship that has not yet come. In the end, the protagonist accepted the gains and losses calmly, and continued to explore humanity and love in the world he finally found, with an added responsibility for self-awareness.

A story of a young man seeing the world. It's a complicated world. There are always rules out there. But when you see it through, it's simple. Follow your heart, do what ya gotta do. Goodnight you princes of Maine, kings of new england.

Literature and art is a good thing, it is a good thing to do it step by step, it is a good thing to talk about it, and it is too boring, you are wrong. I slept stupidly for a whole day, but I still watched this movie at night, which shows its skill! This is a story about growing up, from innocence to curiosity, from rebellion to belonging, everyone will go through a similar process, but the emotional change in the face of the father and teacher of the orphanage is even more difficult to comprehend.

The Cider House Rules quotes

  • [Homer reads the actual Cider House Rules to the illiterate workers]

Peaches: What do they think, go up to the roof to sleep? They must think we're crazy. They think we're dumb niggers, so we need some dumb rules, is what they think.

Rose Rose: That's it? It don't mean nothin' at all. And all this time I been wonderin' about 'em.

Arthur Rose: They outrageous, them rules. Who live in this cider house? Who grindin' up those apples, pressin' that cider, cleanin' up all this mess? Who just plain live here, just breathin' in that vinegar? Well, someone who don't live here made those rules. Those rules ain't for us. We are supposed to make our own rules. And we do. Every single day.

  • Homer Wells: I'm not a doctor. I haven't been to medical school; I haven't even been to high school.
