Saint Vincent

An old army ruffian who got off the assembly line from the Vietnam War, uh, at least it seems correct on the outside. There are many shortcomings, yes, many, so many that I don’t want to write about them. The advantages are, yes, not many. There is no baptismal religion in this film, until the end of the film, all the main characters still maintain their distinctive personalities. Well, maybe except for the original bully in that school...drinking, gambling, prostitutes, liars, the life of this old fritters is almost soaked in the decayed and dark mud, but as an old man, as a movie, there is no positive energy. Also play an egg, so you can see that the two protagonists are similar to their grandparents going to drink and gamble together... ok, because they are two people, this is positive. The most affectionate scene in the film is undoubtedly the protagonist's final report, which almost squeezed the old guy out, and squeezed out such a tearful 5 minutes. This old man is a soldier who has participated in wars for the country. He loves children and his wife. He has no crime. He is a saint.

Reminds me of "Descendants", the small novel of Wells Tower, and even ray in the second season of "Detective". From the inside out, it is very American and naive, a new type of value (is it new?), this Oliver Gitridge-esque characters are very popular now

The little boy is good, and the other actors are also doing well, but this kind of film about Loser really grabs a lot. .

St. Vincent quotes

  • Maggie: I thought you ate at Vincent's house.

    Oliver: I had sushi.

    Maggie: You had sushi?

Oliver: Well, sardines. He calls it sushi. Didn't want to hurt his feelings.

  • Vincent: I'm gonna show you one thing and it's probably your best shot. If you do it right, you can break the guy's nose.

    Oliver: Break his nose!

Vincent: Relax! You're not gonna get it right.
