It is difficult for the Chinese to make such a choice.
From what I understand, French love is just love. Love has self-esteem, attraction, and loneliness. I am me, you are you, we belong to each other and separate from each other, our loneliness dissolves in love, but we are still alone. We are still young people who meet for the first time, we are attracted to each other, we are suspicious of each other, and we try to show the best side of ourselves.
In China, the love of our fathers and grandparents, as they agreed, has long since become a family relationship with the firewood, rice, oil and salt. Maybe they didn't know what love looked like before the firewood, rice, oil and salt. And family love means a constant connection. We don’t have to look our best all the time, and we don’t have to close the door when we go to the toilet, but we have a responsibility, and this responsibility, like filial piety, constitutes a thousand-year-old moral pedigree.
The French do it because of the French love.
Chinese people will not do this because of Chinese love.
