As someone who has not watched an animated film for a long time, I am still a little excited to watch the conscience-quality animated film produced by DreamWorks again. Compared with the animation works of Master Hayao Miyazaki, whether it is the works of DreamWorks or Disney, it lacks that little element that can bring adults educational significance. The works of DreamWorks and Disney are more focused on the themes of adventure, dream, and love.
This animated film tells the story of the escape-loving boov race, who has been facing the pursuit of the Gorg race, this time they escaped to Earth to prevent the Gorg's pursuit. Because their technology level is higher than that of the earth people, so, after they came to the earth, they opened up a place for the earth people to live, and the rest of the earth was completely occupied by the boov race. There is a slightly different boov in the boov race, whose name is "oh" (little ou). The origin of the name is because everyone does not want to see him, so every time he appears, everyone will make the sound of oh. The difference between Xiaoou is that he is not like the boov race. He will participate in parties and is eager to be friendly with his neighbors (this has terrain reasons). Xiaoou is very enthusiastic. When he sent an e-mail inviting everyone to his new home on Earth, he mistakenly sent the e-mail to the entire galaxy, so he faced a danger: the Gorg race would also receive the e-mail, and thus know the location of the boov race, so as to follow kill the earth. As a result, the boov race launched the arrest of Xiaoou. At the same time, due to the invasion of the boov race, the little girl TIP and her mother were separated, and TIP embarked on the road to find her mother. TIP and Xiaoou met in a "mother and wife shop", and then acted together. It ends with a happy ending.
In this story, Xiaoou and TIP (two races) are compared to highlight the theme of love and adventure. The Boov race is a race that runs away. They like to run away when they encounter something. They think that running away is the safest. This is also a race habit created by the captain (the leader of Boov). But the love of running away also brings danger to the race, because the captain's escape behavior makes the boov race continue to be chased by Gorg, which leads to running away, forming a vicious circle. However, when TIP encounters danger, he moves toward danger instead. He is bold, careful and smart. Several times of "turning the crisis into safety" also makes Xiao Ou understand that running away is not the best solution. On the contrary, facing difficulties and turning the situation around can win the first move. Dodging is useless, just like an ostrich, but will expose your weaknesses to your opponents.
Another problem of the Boov family is mutual indifference, and there is no concept of friends, but Xiaoou feels the love of friends from TIP, and has more influence on his own leadership, so that Boov and humans can play happily together, love each other, and be friendly and harmonious.
After these two points of boov were changed, the story ushered in a perfect ending.
In addition to the comparison between boov and humans in the plot, after highlighting the "correct" style, there is another point that touched me, that is, the seemingly powerful the Gorg race has only the last Gorg, and the hope of the entire race is in that stone. At that time, I felt that the last Gorg was very lonely, and the pressure was very high, because he was the hope and future of the race (the stone needed to be taken back), and it also made me think of the pitiful situation of a race when it was in danger of extinction. No profit leads to no extinction.
