Moving

Philomena is an amazing old lady who makes you feel so lovely and kind and strong. Maybe the film is about redemption, and I can't help but question who should redeem it. Philomena's fault can be committed by any young and innocent little girl, but she has carried out redemption for 50 years, so that flesh and blood cannot meet, and family cannot understand each other during life. There is God's word, we should resent him, such punishment is too cruel.

The film is completed in one go, closely linked, without delay, always running through a touch of suspense, and at the same time, it can be deeply moving. People from all walks of life should be moved or touched by the film. Whether it is a kind old woman who cares about her son, or a stubborn and cruel nun; whether it is a conscience reporter who has changed from profit to emotional, or a hateful son who will not forget her biological mother and homeland until her death. Philomena chose to forgive the nun at the end, but at the same time advocated letting the world know the truth there. I have to say, the greatness of this kind of human nature is really hard to find, maybe she is an angel in the first place. Another person thinks that Judi Dench's acting skills are really superb.

The old lady's performance is restrained. This time, if she doesn't meet Kate, she will definitely win the golden statue. It is said that the two of them also cooperated in the scandal notes.

Philomena quotes

  • Martin Sixsmith: Now why would someone who cared so little about where he came from, wear something so Irish?

Philomena: Well... perhaps he played the harp. He *was* gay.

Martin Sixsmith: He didn't play the harp.

  • Martin Sixsmith: Phil, how did you know he was gay?

Philomena: Well he was a very sensitive little boy, and as the years rolled on, I always wondered if he might be. But when I saw the photograph of him in the Dungarees

    [chuckles]

Philomena: there was no doubt in my mind.
