Repaying resentment with virtue, why repay virtue?

Although it is a film that educates people not to use violence to solve violence, I can't help but say, shouldn't the murderer who killed the little girl be treated like this? If you just compromise, what will happen in the end? Can anyone jump up and bite you twice? You won't care anyway, because you want to repay your grievances with virtue! In the preaching part of the final turn of the gods, a resentful spirit who has not been saved for more than 300 years gave up revenge because of the protagonist's preaching. This is really a cartoon. I hate people like the protagonist the most. You try what it feels like to be burned to death and then others persuade you to stand and talk without back pain.

  • Sheriff Hooper: What do you think you're doing firing at civilians? That is for the police to do
