Before the apocalypse, human beings are divided into 3/6/9 and so on. Those with good skills are selected to enter the "Noah's Ark" for refuge. The protagonist's family of three is undoubtedly selected.
Of course, the development of the story cannot be smooth. The son must be ill, he must forget to take medicine before boarding the plane, the family of three must be separated, and the protagonist must save his wife and children.
