Roger is Norway's most successful headhunter, and his wife Diana is beautiful and also owns a luxurious gallery. With Diana's introduction, Roger met Callas from the Netherlands; the former director of an electronics company, the military-born and sexy, seemed like the perfect candidate for any high-level job. Roger, who was in financial crisis, gradually topped the collection of Callas's home, a famous painting worth more than seven figures in euros. It didn't take much effort for Roger to sneak into Callas' house, but when he was about to leave, he found something he shouldn't have found, making him quickly become prey in the eyes of others. There is no free lunch in the world, everyone has to pay for it. The headhunting game has begun.

It's very good, the atmosphere is enough, and the aura is also strong, but the final reversal is overdone.

I think the culprit of all this is the inferiority complex brought by the male protagonist's height of 168, Khan. A crime film with a good look, compact and tense. Although the plot development is somewhat bizarre, and the handling of some details is slightly far-fetched, it does not affect the viewing. There is a super heavy taste scene, which is too nightmare

Jo Nesbø's Headhunters quotes

  • [Last lines]

Roger: My name is Roger Brown. I'm 5'6" tall, and you know what? That's more than enough.

  • [First lines]

Roger: Rule #1: Make sure you know everything about those you visit. 2: Never spend more than 10 minutes. Every extra minute increases the chance of someone returning home unexpectedly. 3: Do not leave DNA traces. 4: Don't waste time getting an expensive reproduction. Even a simple forgery will go unnoticed for weeks. 5: Sooner or later, one of two things will happen. You find a work of art so valuable that you never need to worry again, or... you'll get caught.
